Hello everyone.

Well  I am three months post op and so far I have lost almost 60 pounds.  My son weighs 60 pounds so apparently i have lost the equivalent of my son.  My sister gave me a gift card to fashion bug and I decided to use it as most of my pants are to the point of almost falling off. Since at thanksgiving i was able to wear size 26 jeans, when I selected some pants to try on at Fashion Bug I chose size 22/24 pants.  Took them into the fitting room and ... Guess what ??

They were too big . that was a shocker .. i have never had that happen before. So I brought them back out and brought in the next size smaller  a 18/20 those fit.. so i ended up getting that size .. I haven't wore this size since about a year before my son was born.  so 7 years about ..
Also I was still wearing around this coat that was a Mens size 5 xl .. when i got a new coat at Fashion Bug .. it was a 2 xl ..
And today as I was leaving a store, I realized that my inner thighs are not rubbing against each other . . .. that was weird.  I have so much more energy.  I had an appt with my orthopedic doctor last week .. I was supposed to get the Cortisone shot for my knees .. it had been three months since the last one.  I didn't get the shot done.  I occasionally get aches and a pop or two out of my knees .. but they don't hurt anything like they used to.  I also realized that I no longer have to hoist myself out of the chairs .. i stand up with out having to huff and puff and push myself out.. I just stand up.  with only using my knees .. the ortho person gave me a sheet of exercises to do to strengthen the ligaments around my knees because they are loose because of the amount of weight that I have lost.
Here is another thing that happened this week .. i was walking faster than my son.. Hahaha.. Usually i am saying"wait up for mama hunny" and he is usually pretty good about that since i walked so slow .. but twice this weekend I made it over to the door of the church before my son.  and I was saying hey mike .. catch up to mama ..

Well .. i need to get some sleep .. you have a blessed day and night

love ya lots

Jenn

HOW AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Doesn't it feel great??!!?? This is just the beginning. It will just keep getting better and better.  I remember when I crossed my leg the first time without having to grab my pant leg or ankle to haul my leg up and over to cross it. I just lifted it with its ownb muscles and it easily went over the other.. I was like    ... I was soooooooo amazed.

Just wait until you are shopping from the small side of the store. Inside your head,  you will feel a party going on...lol.

Lots of love back at ya lady! Keep up the great work!

Jenn,

I just love hearing stories like yours.  We really don't realize how much our bodies are changing until we have those moments like pants being too big or getting up the flight of stairs without huffing and puffing.

Good luck and keep doing what you're doing 'cause is working!
