50lb goal reached!

Happy to report that I have lost my first 50 lbs following WLS.  Feels good.  Have so much more to go.  Weight loss seems to be slowing down but I have faith that it will come off as it should.

I would love to be able to enjoy the New Year with a group of folks my own age to see if I feel more comfortable in my own skin but I rarely get out of the house since I am a single parent and all.  Oh well, maybe next year.

I have not been this small since my mid 20's and can't wait to reach my next 50 lb goal and be at 225lbs! That will be awesome.

I have so much skin that is just hanging there but at least its not plump with huge fat cells any longer.  Sucks because I know I will not be able to afford to have them removed but this is all a blessing none the least.

I want to buy an outfit but don't think its a wise idea financially so I will go and try on an outfit instead.  Maybe I will buy some jewelry instead since there are no size limits with earrings and bracelets.

2011, here I come!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOO   HOOOOOOOOOOO.... You are doing awesome! I am so happy for you!

As far as the excess skin.. Here's what you do. If you having any ANY rashes, rawness etc, go immediately to the doctor for treatment. Make sure they document it well and eventually ask them if they will write an recommendation that the panni be removed for health reasons. With all of this, it is possible to have insurance cover at least the removal of excess skin on the tummy. There is a gal who comes to my live support group meetings, who found the right doctor who knew just how to go about getting the approval, and insurance paid for her panni removal. The doctor just has to know the right approach. And of course they may deny it a time or two, but after one or two appeals, she got a yes.

You definately deserve a reward for your hard work and prgress. Do IT!
Hugs and love to you! Keep up the good work and keep that chin up gal!
