I updated my ticker, or tried to. I am at 300 lbs so the reasoning would say that on 2 protein shakes a day if i don't cheat I will reach 299 tomrrow! Even if its later this week, i know its coming and i have been holding at 300 since i showered yesterday afternoon. I am so excited and proud of myself! I am hoping this will be the last time until my liquid diet that i have to do more than 1 shake a day. next appointment is the 28th of this month. Have to eat moderately at christmas and no snacking on leftovers

YAY!  I am proud of you!... thats almost 60lbs? did I read the ticker correctly? how much you lost totally? your so close to the 200s.. keep going! .. excellent idea with christmas.. light eating and take what you can eat later on and freeze it.. it will be so yummy to know its there waiting for you when your healed from surgery and able to eat solid foods.. be wise on the foods you save though.. no bad foods.. :( ...

Looking forward to your next appointment when they tell you your in the 200s!

yeah you read my ticker correctly. 59 lbs since June. when i cut my  calories in half, added protein, exercise, and quit drinking regular pop, koolaid, and tea i lost nearly 40 lbs. the rest has been slow ticking but its been a wonderful journey. i worry about loosing too much but cleveland clinic made it seem like i could loose 100 lbs and still get approved since i had 228 excess body fat. i hate the one lady for telling me how much i had because now i obess over it :( but its almost 60 lbs less now so whatever. lol. i am about to write in my journal and family is doing independant activities also. but i wanted to thank you. you are a wonderful support for me right now and i appreciate it! the surgeons assistant had "faith" that i could get to 150. i think he was dreaming and just telling me my "ideal" weight but im not for sure. i was dreaming and too afraid to ask what he meant because its the opp of what nutrition (old bag lady no offense) said. I judge people too easily and feel like they should be kind and know what they r odoing when working with overweight clients and she wasnt the nicest. i think i souldnt give them a hard time because they have a hard jjob. okay but thank you so much! i am totally behaving myself and tell me more about freezing food. how do i do that?!

You are doing great!

The best thing I ever did was to buy one of those Food Saver systems.  No freezer burn or ice crystals and it was a great idea to freeze holiday (healthy) leftovers so that you can enjoy them later on.

Good luck: we're all rooting for you!

Yep I agree... My food Vaccume storage machine" was one of the best investments! No ice, no freezer burn and lasts sooo much longer in the freezer. AND they are so much more affordable than they used to be.

I suggest too, when making healthy meats for a dinner like say frilled boneless skinless chicken breasts, cook extra. Then freeze it in the vaccume sealed pouches for later use. Can make making wiser choices easier when in a hurry and no time to cook your lean protein. I also will cube some of the precooked chicken and freeze it in 1 or 2 oz packs so I can just grab it out of the freezer in the morning and have some chicken for a chef salad later in the day without having to cook anything.

I even take leftovers from a full dinner and vaccume pack a bit of everything (seperately) and when I don't wanna cook, I have a healthy home made frozen dinner just grab and nuke.. so easy!

Congrats! You arte going to be saying bye bye to the 300's any tme now! woooo hoooooo!!! So happy for you gal!
