Hey ladies!  This is a repost from what I posted at the VSG message board.  I have to say I'm really in high spirits today.  My belly button bandage finally fell off yesterday.  I feel a lot better.  I am more agile as I walk around though I still waddle a bit.  I felt fabulous last night at my office's holiday party.  I am so friggin happy.  It's just weird not to be able to eat as much lol.

Anyhoots, here are the NSVs I've experienced lately:

*My size 13 Wedding Ring no longer fits me, too loose and I almost lost it the other day.
*I danced my butt off at my Office Holiday Party until 2am last night.  I haven't danced that long in years!
*I fit into the Ihop booth seat today.  Still a bit of a squish but regardless I fit.  Not like before to where I did NOT fit.
*I can layer shirts again and it looks right, instead of like a stretched out blob.

When I got to the party last night, and felt acknowledged and beautiful, and was able to DANCE in heels!  was when I said Screw this, I love my sleeve.  I adore my sleeve.  My sleeve is giving me my life back!

WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!  I am so happy for you. It can be quite the adjustment after wls, but when the NSV's and Scale vicotires and other awesome rewards begin to take place, it is almost magical. I LOVE my RNY too. I do not and am certain will NEVER regret this decision. The only regreat is not having done this much sooner. As time goes on and you are sitting in that booth and it feels funny cuz the table is too far away, compared to what you are used to, you are going to be like "OH YEAH!" First time I sat in a booth and had 7 ot 8 inches between my belly and the table, I had to keep reminding myself the booth would not scoot in closer to the table and then I'd giggle.. it was so weird!

How awesome you are FINALLY embracing this journey and loving it! I knew you'd come around! LOL.

Yes Patrece, I think I've finally come around.  This weekend I've had back to back holiday events and I know I wouldn't have been able to half of this all weekend and STILL go back to work on Monday if not for my sleeve.  I still can't see myself with that much room at the booth though lol.

ohhh you will... in good time.. you will see. I am so glad you are feeling so much better about all of this. I think one of the biggest things is learning to break the foodtude we have developd along the way and realizing food is something we eat to live, not live to eat. Finding new ways to amuse, entertain, pacify and comfort ourselves can help tremendously with this.

Big hugs
