Ok I dont know what is up withmy scale besides that i need a new one. Why would your first weight of the day be more?
In the AM it says btwn 305 and 307 and a few hours later 10- 11 am up until bedtime it says 301. I don't put it in a different spot or anything and i do check it a few times. any thoughts? i cannot be 307 or for the first time i will be higher when i see the nut and i am afraid of the insurance company denying me.

Sara, put that scale away in the closet. Only take it out a couple of times a week for a weight check. Then only use a single time of the day, your weight will and does change during the day with eating, drinking and bathroom usage. Does your scale use a battery, maybe time for a new battery. You have been putting in the effort, you will be approved. Just keep up the great work in getting ready. Hugs

thanks. I know i need to put the scale up. ive been asking hubby to check the battery but he hasnt done it yet. maybe i will do it myself tonight. sounds like a plan. i really worry about gaining a few lbs between appointments even though ive lost 50. what if they think i cant do it? i dunno. just worried i guess because more than anything i am afraid to die from not having the surgery.

I doubt the insurance co will deny you.. I was told.. this is what we are needing it for.. failed prior success at weightloss..and you showed your trying and a few gained..will show them how much you need it.. I gained during my weigh in months.. then I lost back to my starting weight.. I was terrifyed.. I got approved... and say for the small percent IF they deny you.. you can appeal it..and from what I read.. the appeal..they approve... Please do not worry.. I know its harder to do than say.. have faith.. and the scale...I am obsessed with the scale.. I hide mine.... then snuck it out with in 72 hrs.. HAHA.. sorry honesty there.. but do try.. the more you look at your weight..the longer it seems to come off.. .. your doing great.. I have faith in you..as you want this more than anything.. you will not fail..

Thanks for the encouraging support!! the only way i can stop on top of my weight loss at this point in the game is with protein shakes. I have to do 1 a day or I gain excessively. And since i gave away my huge clothes and can't deal with gaining more than 5 or 10 lbs I choose to drink the shakes. 2 shakes a day helps me to actually loose weight. I am 300 when i got on the scale after my shower. Its awful i too am addicted to the scale. i must be one of the odd people but seeing the 1 lb makes all my effort count and since i have been trying since September to get to 299 it really makes it worth it. but the moment i let my guard down i gain weight. I am worried about changes after surgery. my family are big meat eaters and if i can't handle red meat at all including hamburger then i will be so sick of chicken and protein shakes. does anyone eat lean cusine for lunches? i know it has carbs but it was a suggestion to control what i eat at lunch and i love them now. i have to stay away from bread and some pastas are a trigger as well. potatoes, dont get me started. i am having a hard time not feeling awful about either learning moderation and reteaching my body or having to complete give something up. out of the two i have been trying to reteach this old "dog" new tricks. and I hope it works.
I am going to ask another question in a new post. Thank you so much for your support and for replying to my post. I am going to try to disable to scale for the first two weeks of surgery. batties out and in husbands posession only.

Honey, as long as you keep doing your best and losing all you can, you are going to be fine. They want to see you will comply, so they know they are not wasting money on the surgery for you. They realize if you could lose perfectly now, you wouldn't need the surgery. They just want to know they are making a wise investment if they approve it...and they will if you continue to do what you are supposed to be doing. Relax and I agree.. don't use the scale so much, it will make you crazy! You are doing geat..keep itup!
