Day 18 Update.

Went back to work yesterday.  Am doing a lot of driving today and Monday because I have to take a child to see his mother for four hours and the mother is at a facility about an hour and a half away from the baby.  My strategy is going to be to have other people carry him, as he is over the ten pound limit and he's about one year old.

It was nice to be back at work, the day went by fast.  I just don't know how I did so much in a day.  I was exhausted by 4:30pm.  People are noticing the weight loss, so I guess even though I don't know how much I've lost, I've lost something.

Tonight after work I've got to go to the hospital to see my grandmother, who is really not doing too well.  Alzheimer's is running its course and I think she's entering her final days because her legs stopped working and all the attempts the therapist is making to get her back to it aren't working.

I'm looking forward to Day 21, which for me is Sunday, so I can eat toast.  lol

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  =)

First of all, I am so sorry about your grandmother. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.

Now young lady... STOP doubting your progress!!! lol. You really truly are losing weight! Just accept it! That is afterall why you had surgery right??? Accept the success you are having and enjoy it. Glad it was good for you back at work, its always great when the days go by quickly!

Remember.. whole grain toast, and don't splurge too much, as carbs can be our enemy to a degree. Whole grain is the best choice for the most nutrition and decreased cravings from carbs. You may be suprised and find you do not tolorate bread items well. Some do and some do not after surgery. I love the whole grain oat bread, and usually have that or the 7 or 10 grain bread when I have bread, although that isn't often.

I hope you have an awesome weekend and congrats on your progress! You go girl! Day 21 here you come!

Praying for your grandmother, I am sorry she is having a hard time right now.. and the family.

Nice idea to have others carry the child.. dont want to over do it.. I found myself being easily exhausted too.. it gets better thought.. and keep your fluids going.. dont forget!

I do not know how your not on the scale.. I went crazy..lol.. I got on my scale sooner than I said I would..and you will be soooo shocked by how much you lost.. its not something..its a few pants sizes by now.. :)

yes becareful on toast.. small bites.. I wont eat toast now.. Im afraid actually..lol.. but I did have a nibble of wheat wrap I used for chicken tacos last night.. was yumo.. no lettuce for me though..and the wrap went down problem free.. but few bites and was my limit..

I cant wait to hear the success when you get on your scale finally! your gonna be tickled pink!
