Going back to work tommorow.

My time is up and I go back to work tommorow.  I'm not too happy about it but I think I'm sturdy enough to go back.  I'm just still on a 10-pound restriction, so I'm not sure whether to inform work.  I had already spoken to my supervisor and let her know that most likely I would have to take it easy for a while.  Our job involves lifting sometimes if we have babies with carseats to carry or the "stuff" that comes with the children, bags of clothes, toys, etc.  And I have a coworker (Bless him) who let me know that if I needed to lift anything he could help me.  It would only be for a few more weeks, as this time is slow around my office and my time replenishes in January so I could take another week off then.  Plus I can't afford to go on disabilty with all the bills I have to pay and Christmas right around the corner.

I don't need naps during the day anymore, but I discovered yesterday that if I don't sleep well the night before my belly button area feels weird and I feel very tired.  I do feel sturdy but I don't really feel adjusted to my new eating/drinking schedule.  Oh well, I once worked for a delivery service handling packages and had to lift heavy packages a few days postop after losing a baby.  This should be cake in comparison.

Just needed to vent briefly.

We wish you the best. Try to do nothing but rest when you are home.

Take it slow and don't be afraid to ask for help if you feel you need it.

just take it slow and easy... remember to walk as much as possible and get your liquids in.  when I went back towork my liquid intake was the hardest part to deal with... It is still something I deal with daily and taking my protein while at work gets hard as well.  I have noticed that when I do not  get as much protein as needed I become very sluggish about 1/2 way through the day... good luck to you : )

Pace yourslef, do not lift anything you do not have to... don't want a hernis or damage to your new incisional areas and have to have another surgery!
Definately let you supervisor know you are on lifting restrictions. Plan for your liquids, meals and protein for at work. It is more difficult to stay on track away from home, but so important!
Take care of YOU!
Hugs!
