I was soooooooooooooo siiiiiiiiick!

I woke up at 3:30 am yesterday shivering, shaking and heaving my guts out! (Stomach was empty BTW so nothing came out). And I wouldn't care - what's another cold? - if the room wasn't spinning around me too. The spinning got me because it was one of the worst symptoms I had way back when, when MS was first suspected in 1981.
Now, I'm no sissy LOL. I've been through hell and back with the MS and I'm still here to talk about it. Still I won't lie to you. One of my worst fears this year has been that I may have an MS relapse due to the strain placed on the body and nervous system from rapid weight loss. Since the ONLY medicine for MS acute episodes is cortisone, which led to my crazy weight gain in the first place, the prospect scares me witless. I've been lucky so far - nothing major yet but yesterday shook me.
I whimpered a little bit - a lot, actually - and ended up calling a neurologist by the afternoon, but I'm glad to report that the crisis is over - or so it seems today - and I'm much better.
Today is hubby's birthday. He bought a cake for himself yeterday. LOL. I'll take a sliver tonight for his sake but God help me if there are leftovers!
I hope you are all doing well.

I'm glad that you're doing better today.  Happy Birthday to your hubby!  He's a good sport getting his own cake lol.

Your yesterday was rough. Do you have a MS support gourp?  May you have a better day today.

I no longer have a support anything for anything. OR a doctor any more. It happens when you have a chronic disease for over 35 years.

Thank you Patrece. It WAS scary but I'm glad it was just a scare and didn't materialize into a full blown relapse. It WAS a good reminder, however, that MS is never too far off and should never be underestimated. I will be going for another MRI sometime in the near future as the neurologist suggested, even though I can't imagine what they will learn from it, besides the long-confirmed fact that yes, I do have holes in my brain! lol
