Homeward Bound!

Well, the time has really passed pretty quickly for me here in Mexico, as I stayed the required amount of time for recovery and monitoring. I arrived last Saturday here and will be heading for home tomorrow (Sunday). I am glad to be heading home, yet parts of me dread it. Things can get pretty heavy at home sometimes..But there is no place like home and ones own bed and PILLOWS! lol

I am doing great as far as recovery goes. All drains have been out for a couple of days now. Last time, I returned home with 2 drains, and they were in for a week and a half after my return. Sooo glad not to have those to mess with. Sutures will still be in place, but being a nurse and very independant and stubborn, I will take care of those myself when the time comes. Have a friend that is a nurse and lives not too far away that will help if needed with ones I cannot reach.

I am very pleased so far with the revisional work. Bye Bye thunder thighs..again..lol They were gone after the last Plastic surgery, but then I lost an additional 14 lbs between then and now and the thunder thighs (handle bars) returned with a vengance! Now.. they are gone again Yeay!!! And the piece of tissue that was causing me problems with one of my breasts healing from the augmentation last time has been removed, and I am well on the mend again in that area. (there was a piece of tissue about the size of a pea (scar tissue) that had broken loose from the rest, and was kind of floating free in there.. So my body was trying to rid itsself of this "foreign object" which created a funky scarred area that never quite healed all the way, as my body was trying to puch this tssue out through that area, unsuccessfully. It was actually quite painful. The scar that resulted from that was able to be removed and no one would ever guess it had ever been there. I had no clue how he'd get rid of it, as it seemed to extend into the areola, but it is gone and looks good as new, except for the insicion line needing to heal. The surgeon said there was no inbfection at all, but had I let it go another couple of months, it likely would have become infected, so I am glad I followed up on it.

Hoping for a smooth and uneventful trip home. Will be tiring.

Hoping you all have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs!

Yes , bed and pillows! I love going to Mexico but for some reason beds seem harder and the pillows are just not the same as the ones at home... Hope you have a safe travel home.
I am so glad to hear you are doing well and I hope you continue to have a fast recovery.

Hugs, Lisa

Thank you Lisa! Are you beginning to feel any better yet?
You are so right.. the beds and pillows are not like at home, especially the pillows! I have never had such uncomfortable pillows in my life! I have the worst neck ache and shoulder aches.
