Panic attacks and sick to my stomach.......
Hello all and Happy Thanksgiving.
I've had a concern recently. I had Lap Band surgery in July, and have had a fill in August, and a fill in September. I've had 3.5cc in so far.
Everything has been going really well up until a couple of weeks ago.
I was loosing about 1 pound a week, but more than that my lean mass to fat mass was improving dramatically.
But recently things haven't been going as smoothly.
I am having periodic panic attacks, and a couple of times feeling light-headed.
Also, there are times when after my small meal, I get really sick to my stomach. This doesn't happen all the time. I'm going to start keeping a journal of when this happens. Maybe I can pin point it to something I ate. I don't throw up, just feel like I could. Could also be part of the panic attacks.
Just hope there's nothing wrong with my band. That would suck, since I've gone through so much.

I experience a lot of the things you describe. I'm just running with them but if they start to bother or scare you, contact you doctor immediately. I have suffered from panic attacks for years and still take meds for them. I think the journal is a really good idea. Good luck and I hope you are doing better soon.

Hey there. Happy thanksgiving back to you!
Panic attacks, I am not sure have to do with the surgery, but the nausea can definately come from the panic attacks. Also, it may be time to hav your band adjusted again. It may need some in or some out. Sometimes Bands can be touchy. I know people who in the first year have to have them adjusted like every 6 weeks.
Other times, it can be the food you are eating, or how much you are eating. It doesn't sound like a band problem (as far as slippage, or something like that), but then I couldn't knoiw this for sure. But typically you would experience much more discomfort if it was being problematic. Not always tho. Sooooo.. if this continues, consider a follow up with the surgeon.
Meanwhile, the journal is a great idea. may help you pinpoint the culprit. Also assess how much you are eating and if it is in line with what you should be. You may need to adjust the amount. Or maybe your tummy is just being super fussy right now, or maybe the beginnings of an illness?
Wishing you the best of luck with this subsiding quickly. See someone for help with the panic attacks.. don't suffer through it if you do not have to.
Hugs!
