10 days to go
I started my pre-op diet on the 19th. Surgery is the 1st. Things are going fairly well. Not as bad as I had feared. Have lost 20 lbs. It's interesting to me that some just have to lose 20 lbs and no liquid diet and I have to show weight loss and do a liquid diet. My most recent friend was larger than me by maybe 100 lbs and no pre-op diet for her. Oh well, different dr's do different things, I suppose. Nervous but excited. Thankfully no plans for Thanksgiving so that helps a bit too. No groceries in the house and bf is out of town most of the time for work so don't need any for him either. Things just seem to be falling into place!
Congratulations on your soon to be arrival to the losers bench! Hang in there on the diet! I hear you on the differences in pre-op procedures between different docs. The pre-op diet is intended to shrink the liver. It makes the surgery easier for them and for you. PLUS you get the jumpstart on the weightloss! WOO HOOOOO!
Wishing you a smooth surgery and recovery!

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Thanks, Colleen. I'm trying. I have to say therapy can be a good thing! :) That said, I've been thinking about this for 3 yrs. Different things prevented me from doing this sooner. But one day last spring, I just said If I have to sell my mustang to pay for this, then I'll sell it... Found out I didn't have to sell it though!
