This weeks challenge! Lets ALL participate!
This weeks challenge is an easy one! Find ONE new healthy food item to add to your diet and just give it a try. You may open a whole new world of possibility to meals and foods and keeping them interesting.
Maybe it is a vegetable from the produce department or a fruit, that you have never tried. Maybe a new healthy recipe. Maybe a seafood product you have never experienced. Just try something new!
Let me know how it goes for you!
My newest favorite is Leek! It is similar to onion but so versitile. Works in soups, and almost any other dish you can imagine, cooked or uncooked. Slice off the roots, then slice the stalk into thin slices, which produces rings similar to that of onions. BUT no burning watery eyes!!!!!!

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Cool challenge. MIA from the OH site since last friday, busy working overtime and working on garage project.
I picked up a rutabaga, love them in soup. Plan to try it plain as a substitute for mashed potatoes.
Yesterday, put things for preplanning meals for 2 days in the oven. We are having chili, squash and leftover ham for meals over today and tomorrow. I even browned the hamburger in the oven, worked good. This all baked while I was baking potatoes for stuffed potatoes last evening. I just use a piece of potato the size of a golf ball for myself. Found chunked turkey meat on sale, frozen brocolli too. Topped it all off with a bit of shredded cheese. Everyone loved it.
