Hello to all!

I've been in hiding the last couple of days; I've been feeling like I'm on the verge of coming down with something.  I was going to skip Mass this morning but decided to suck it up and go.

As of this morning, I am less than 20 pounds to goal.  I never thought I would get this far, even with the surgery.  But I have come up with an eating plan that I can live with.  I really need to get better on getting in my shakes and protein.  I have learned to stay away from desserts, even though I don't experience dumping.  My "treat" is a Slurpee from 7-11.  I try not to go too often but I do love them and they also offer a frozen Crystal Light.  While I don't recommend my "diet", it does work for me.  I don't feel like I'm deprived of anything and my labs are pretty good.  That was my goal; to basically eat like a "normal" person, just in much smaller quantities.  I do a lot of grazing but it's all high protein.  I'm never hungry unless I don't feel good in the morning (like today).  Now I'm sort of hungry but I don't know what I want.  My new solution is to eat NOTHING until I figure out what it is I want.  All I know is that it has to be high protein.

Well it's a cold, dreary day here in the Motor City.  Cold, cloudy, windy.  I love this weather but I hope the weather is better wherever you are in the world.  That's it for me for now; I think I'll take a nap.

Hey Colleen,
It has been getting pretty darn chilly here. Some days cloudy and some bright and sunny, but still cool. Although I am not going to complain, as last year by now it was much cooler and we had snow a few times already by now. Up in the mountains, it is snowing some, buit not down here yeat, and I am glad of that.

So glad to hear you are getting closer to goal as time goes by. It's a great feeling isn't it!

Have a wonderful week.
Hugs!
