Good Friday morning to all

Good morning everybody.  I hope you are all doing well on the part of the journey you are in today.  For me, it's about committing to take my supplements, which I do not do faithfully.

So yesterday was the big day; I went and had the needles stuck in my back.  I was given a mild sedative to relax me and local anesthetic.  It wasn't as painful as I thought it would be but in my opinion it was not successful therefore not an option.  Within 4 hours my pain level began to increase and I woke up at about 2 AM with a massive migraine.  I'm not sure what he is going to decide to do, but at least the procedure isn't as bad as I expected.

I gained 3 pounds and then lost 2. I really do need to give up my obsession with the scale.  In some ways daily weigh-ins keep me in line and in others it gets a little frustrating, especially like now, when I have been going up and down with these 3 pounds for 2 weeks now.  I also have a very nasty habit of comparing myself to others and always falling short.  I'm afraid if I switch to a weekly weigh-in I will not do so well with my food plan.  I don't want to get this far and then throw it all away.  For today, I am feeling strong and have no appetite whatsoever.

I hope everybody has a great day.

Hey Collen, sorry it didn't help your pain levels.  I hope you can find something to give you the relief you deserve.  As for weighin in, maybe a weigh in every other day might be a compromise.  -Hugs-

Good morning Colleen. I am a day late here, but better late than never? lol. Has been a busy week and next week will be too.
As far as the "needle" procedure, my husband had that done a few weeks ago. The doctor told him it could hurt a tad more the first couple of days, but by day 3, if it will help, you should start noticing it then. Some people it works for and some it does not.
It did help Paul, but only lasted for about 3 or 4 weeks. Others benefit longer from it. So hong in there, it could end up helping yet. Give it another day or 2 before you write it off as unsuccessful.

As far as weighing in, how about picking 2 days a week. Its not so often you are driving yourself nutz over it, but often enough to hold yourself in check on what is happening with your weight.. Thats how I do it. And always weigh in under the same cir****tances. Like I weigh in in the morning after I potty, before anything goes into my body, and wearing about the same weight clothing (bra and underpants). I try to weigh in every Monday and Thursday.

Hope this helps a little. Take great care. Even tho you aren't hungry, eat some healthy protein foods at scheduled meal times in moderate amounts. Drink tha****er!

Hey Colleen, I am a few days late replying.  Busy life here.  Hoping that your discomfort is resolvine with the extra days since your procedure.  I want more of those days with no appetite.  Do things that are good for you, do not strain your sore muscles.  Most importantly, no person to person comparisons.  Each of us is a different group of parts, and no one's parts work exactly the same.  We each struggle with different areas of our lives.

I look forward to reading your daily thoughts.  I see myself in parts of each post I read here on OH.  Take what you can from our stories and lives and apply it to your own.  I am proud of the success you have accomplished.

Yayyy for looser's.  Hugs
