Hi Shelby and welcome to the group!  My best suggestion beyond reading the posts and asking questions is to do your homework.  "WLS for Dummies" is a great place to start.  Every surgeon has his or her own point of view on certain things so opinions can be very different.  You will also learn alot from your surgical team; you should be having a session with a nutritionist or dietician, exercise coach or PT, a psychological evaluation, not to mention the bloodwork, stress test and EKG and all that stuff.  You will be so busy getting ready for your  surigical date that the time will fly by.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing you post; this is a great group!

Hi Shelby, welcome to the group.  Congrats on getting a surgery date.  Tricks, read lots of posts, ask any and all questions.  Do anything you cn in the time before surgery to change habits to the healthy ones that will get you to goal after surgery.  Any weight loss will make the surgery easier on you and for the surgical team.

Come to monday chat sessions for a time for questions and answers.  We share and support each other during the chat sessions.  Topics depend on the questions of those present during the chat session.  I send out notices with the shortcut to chat space each monday.  Post often and share with us.

Hugs, let's be loser's together.
