Its been a while since I have posted.  Life got super busy for a while there.  But I am happy to say I finally said goodbye to the 200's!!!  I saw the scale read a 1 for the first time in 13 years!!!  Life is good, and I am very happy!  Another thing is I joined wt rawchers to help me as I hit a forever long plateau.  I have gotten so many recipe ideas and gotten my calories under control, I am so glad I did it.  I have been going now for 4 weeks and I have lost 12 pounds.  It got me right out of that plateau.  Counting points instead of calories is so much easier for me.  But I had to share my news, it was a happy day and I shed some tears for sure!!  :)

Way to go on busting through your plateau.  I bought the WW at home kit with the calculator prior to my decision to have the surgery.  I was wondering how you figured your points out based on having had WLS?  I could not come up with a number that seemed right.

Hi Colleen,

Actaully, I am taking in more calories being on WW, but I am losing 2-3 pounds steadily a week.  My surgeon wanted me between 500-800 per day and like I said the loss just stopped for about 6 weeks.  Now I am at about 1100-1200 and I think I needed more nutrition.  I just figured my points as if Ihadnt had surgey and as I lose I take points away just like they tell you.  I make my food choices based on protein needs first, and always eat the protein portion of the meal before anything else.  I dont always finish my food because the pouch gets full.  It seems to work for me.  Good luck with everything and conrgats on your weight loss!!!  You have done awesome!  Very inspirational!!  -Jennifer
