21 lbs in 14 days...WOW!!!

Sorry I I haven't been on for a week or so.  Just trying to get some normalcy.  Its getting there.  I talk about the gas but really I think its an over exaggeration and a small price to pay really.  I do have a problem with bowel movements.  I went from daily to about once every 3-4 days and I don't like that.

I am excited that I have lost 21 lbs in 14 days.  Amazing.  I just hope that I can lose 10 more in the next 2 weeks.  I still have a problem with weighing myself too often.  Mom says she is gonna take my scale.  I really wish she would.

My pants are falling. Dang near lost a pair while walking to the mail box. Super funny though as I was thinking about it.  Getting exercise is getting better.  Water is hard so I mainly drink crystal light.  I was super happy because now I can have lite yogurt.  it took me a day to eat one yogurt.  I was so good....black forest cake.  Yum.

I do notice that my back is killing me.  If I walk too much which really isn't a lot or if I am in one position too long my back and shoulders hurt.  I hope that gets better soon.

Next week I can have fruit cups if I rinse the pieces off and then I get yummy protein.  Food is losing its thrill a bit now.  I am getting used to being around folks and not being able to eat what looks good but rather what works best or what I should have.  Doesn't matter though because I get full super fast and then the desire for what other are having is gone.  I actually don't want to be around food after I eat.  The smell of food isn't even as good as it used to be.

I am working closer and closer to my goal.  I am so happy and "proud" of the decision I made to have WLS.  I am not ashamed or embarrassed of the fact.  **** I saw that there was a problem and got it fixed, nothing to be ashamed of.  Happy and blessed for CHANGE.

I pray all of you have success on your journeys to a healthy life. Be safe and love yourself and one another!

You are doing awesome lady! So proud of you too! You are right... you needed to take care of something, and so you did... no shame in that at all.

Tell Mom to get that scale away from you for a week... you are gonna make yourself nutz. I can remember early post op getting on it 2 or 3 times a day for amusement, as each time it was lower...hehehe. Would love just one week like my first week post op to finish getting to goal..lol.

Back aching... everything shifted to accomodate the excess weight. As you lose it things begin to shift back. It can result in some aches and pains, usually temporary. As you get in more activity and exercise those muscles build and it helps with the aches and pains too.

Hugs and congrats on a GREAT JOB!

I agree with Patrece on the scale and it's something I need to do as well.  I have weighed myself at least once a day for last 13 months.  Now that the honeymoon is over, those flucuations of a pound or two are making me crazy.  As of tomorrow, it will be once a week.

Wow Gigi, is this the same woman from your early postings.  Love the positive outlook that you have gained.  Congrats on the losing.  As your body shifts back, the aches and pains should ease.  Do some strengthening exercises, lifting soup cans, etc when you have MD approval.

Fixing a problem is our choice, I am glad I made the same choice you did.  Yayyyyy wls.  Bring on life.  Hugs

ps, time to change your ticker to the losing one.
