Hello to all.

I slept almost all day yesterday.  I didn't feel well at all.  In pain, nauseated, etc.  My incision is really starting to itch and it's driving me crazy!  I don't remember it itching this much when I had the bypass.  Maybe I'm just being a wimp.  I'm also bored out of my mind and that isn't helping matters any.  Harley T. Cat has hardly left my side since Monday. It's almost like he knows I'm not feeling well and is watching over me.  Don has been putting the kitchen to good use right now; doing his experimental stuff that I usually don't let him do.

On the bright side, I have lost 5 of the 10 pounds I gained from the surgery so that is helping me mentally. I answered some posts from yesterday and will go through my email.  I think it's time to break down and have someone go to the store for me and get my some Dulcolax tabs.  I know I'm constipated from the pain meds but 2 weeks is getting a little ridiculous.  I'm telling ya it's like an old folks home around here.  Between me, my husband and my mom, there is always something wrong with somebody and somebody else has to pick up the slack.  What they say is true; getting old isn't for sissies!  LOL!
It does make me grateful that we all have each other though; that's for sure.

I hope you all have a great day.

Ohhhh honey... never never never let it go 2 weeks. You could end up with a perforated bowel! Not to mention vomitting and nausea and fever... I mean really sick just from no BM, and the pain of it all! DO send someone for dulcolax and do not settle for one tablet.. maybe even M.O.M. would be better. Do try to get some miralax or something similar to take daily to prevent this, you poor girl!

Listen to your body and rest as you need to.

Itch can be a sign of healing, irritation, or just from the mesh they put in if they did that with you. If it ets worse or very bothersome, follow up with your doc. Hopefully it is just healing taking place.

Get better soon. Its great to hear from you regularly again!

Goodness, I do hope you feel better soon, I agree with Patrece, too long to go being constipated, even with out having this surgery its too long.  I am sure your furbaby knows very well your not feeling well an it is amazing how they know an sometimes before we do.. I love my furbabies, they been near me alot lately, they sense I am going to be going through something and are so helpful.. sometimes too much.. LOL.. I do wish you to feel better soon..

Wow, I pray that you are feeling better and things are a dumping (not in the I ate something sweet style either). Keep up on the fiber to keep your plumbing working Colleen. No fun to be this miserable. Our furbabies know when we need snuggling, often more than our human counterparts. Off to snuggle with mine, naptime before night shift. Hugs for healing.
