Home from Surgery
Welcome to the losing side of the surgery Gigi. I have been MIA but back for now. The gas gets better, but your pouch may talk to you for some time. Each pouch has it's own grumbles and noises. If you find that the gas odor becomes intolerable, consider getting some Devrom, it is an overthe counter med that helps with strong odors. I get mine online, I try to taper off them every few weeks, then can not stand to be in the same room with myself. This odor does not fo well with work, so the devrom is a lifesaver. (this is also used by folks that have colostomies to control that odor too).
Take this one day at a time, one meal at a time. Get to know the desires of your new pouch. Congratulations and hugs.
