This weeks challenge is coming a bit later in the week, but we still have the rest of the week to take it on. It's an easy one (well maybe), yet can be so beneficial to us all.

Think of one thing that you have been wanting to try or do just for you, and go for it! It doesn't have to be a major life changing thing, just the fulfillment of one thing you have been wanting to experience. Then let us know what it is and how it was for you to do it.

Mine: I am going to take a few hours all by myself this week and drive along the canyon, stop by the river and enjoy simply being one with nature. This is something that I usually find very soothing to my soul. Just me, I and myself!
I may even do a bit of free style journaling while there. (journal on just whatever comes to my mind as i spend time there)

There are several things I've been wanting to do for a long time. I decided that this week (weeked probably) I will finally hang up again all the pictures and icons I took down a couple of years ago when we were repainting the house. I want to do this in the memory of my mom who had the 1 year memorial of her passing last Tuesday, a highy emotional day for me.

My heart and thoughts are with you as you take on this project. While it will be emotionally charged, it may prove to be a comfort of sorts too I hope.
Big hugs to you Amalia!

That's actually one of my problems.  I have to figure out what it is I really want to do.  And then if I get that far, I have to budget for it, as I'm going through financial hardship right now.  Lol.

I sure understand this Jane. Maybe you can start with something small, and inexpensive or free. Maybe an old project you set aside a long time ago and forgot all about even. I wish you luck in finding one of your passions or desires that you can begin to explore a bit.
Hugs to you!

Wow, we are on the same vibe as usual.  I spent part of this week doing things that I wanted to do.  Thus the MIA on my part.

Dennis was on vacation, I caught up on some sleeping.  Friday the two of us brought the dogs to Lake Superior and walked along the lakewalk.  Lovely time for us both.  Walked 4 miles total.  The dogs met and greeted many other dogs and children.  Kids migrate toward them, dog kisses were given to several children.  Lots of giggles and tail wiggles.  The weather was perfect, long sleeved tshirt and sunglasses were the dress of the day.  I went back again to walk the shore with the dogs on saturday, while Dennis was home watching football games.  The temp was 48 degrees, the strong wind brought the windchill to 34 degrees.  My jacket over my sweatshirt and gloves felt great.  The waves that were just small ripples on friday, were 6-8 foot waves on saturday.  We got sprayed with the mist from the waves.  The boardwalk was nearly empty, what a difference between a nice and a windy day.  I spent a couple of hours parked along the shore, jus****ching the waves, feeling the car sway from the wind.  The dogs and I walked about 8 miles total, we were all blissfully tired when we returned home.  I watched children feeding popcorn and bread crumbs to the local seagulls, they kids squeeled in pleasure.

Spending time along the body of water was refreshing for my soul.  Both the trip with my hubby and alone the next day.  The lake (superior) us so large that the distant shore blends into the horizon.  The world is endless, possibilities endless.

The rest of the time this week was spent working on the yard and anticipating construction on my garage project.  Weather permitting, the wall construction sould start tomorrow.  It is misting here today and mist/rain is expected for a few days this week.  I will know more in the morning.

Have a great week everyone.  Hugs

I wish I had been there for the Lake front time. Water is like medication for my soul. There is something so powerful, yet peaceful about a large body of water. Think I should have been born a mermaid or dolphin..lol.

So glad youhad the opportunity to enjoy the Lake before winter decides to kick in. I know here it is definately getting cooler quickly and I am NOT ready for the colder weather.

Best of luck in the weather cooperating for your construction to begin. Tomorrow, weather permitting, the foundation area for our building should be getting dug and leveled out and prepared for concrete foundation to be put in place later this week. Can't wait! Pool will be ordered soon as well. Going to the bank Monday or Tuesday to get the loan rolling for the project completion.

Well I am off to the gracery store and the fabric store in Colorado springs. They are having a 60% off sale on fleece! Perfect fabric to play with for winter! Rest well! Miss ya!

Yes, perfect weather for fleece.  Happy construction in CO too.  Loved the time by the water, planning to check it out more often, even during the winter.  It easy to get lost in the sound and rhythm of the waves and let life worries disappear for a while.

I didn't read the challenge before doing my thing.  Can't wait to see what you come up with for this coming week.  Challenge away, we need this.  Hugs
