Hi , Just joined and was asked to post something so here i go ...... I have not had the surgery yet. Right now i have to do 6 months with a dietitian. That is going good. With in a month i lost 15 pounds just by changing the way i eat. I am a truck driver so it is not real easy but not to hard. I have a cooler and i am home every weekend. I pre make my food for the week. I only bring what i need for the week no extras.
I go see my doctor on friday the 8th . She well tell me all she wants me to achieve.
My sister aunt and uncle had this doctor so i have no concerns about if she is a good doctor or not.
I see the dietitian again on the 29th. Hope i lost another 15 but i will be happy to lose just 5 better then gaining. Now if i gain i will have a fit lol

Welcome to our group! Great to have you with us. I look forward to raveling this journey with you both pre-op and post-op!
Great job with getting off 15 lbs the first month!!! Keep up the awesome work! The truck driving I am sure can make choosing good foods and getting in activity a bit of a challenge. good for you for planning you weeks meals and taking it with you. Hope you are able to get out of the truck and take a short walk a few times a day. Good for cirulation too! I know when I am on the road for a long drive I tend to get swelling in my lower legs and feet.

Keep us posted, and ask any questions you may have!
Again...welcome!

Welcome to the family.  What is your first name?  I like to know a name to go with the face.  Kudos on planning and bringing meals with you.  I know that food choices when driving are not always the best.  Congrats on the loss for your first month, coooooool.

Try to make small changes every week to get to the healthy habits that will assist in the weight loss.  Meeting with the dietician helped a lot during the beofre surgery visits.  Knowing that others have used the same MD and are happy, helps to ease your mind.

I work night shift and deal with eating during times that others are asleep.  The world revolves around many schedules and shifts.  We each have our place.  Hoping to get to know you better through posts and chat sessions.  Loser's united.  Hugs

The name is Tracy. My eating schedule can be little hard also. I drive all different hours. So far it has not been to bad. I have been doing little changes. Can not change a habit you been doing for 39 years over night. Takes time.
