Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
I realize that I have been MIA for a few days. Live was busy. Working on getting things arranged for the garage. Finding a new home for the old garage, cleaning out years of accumulated stuff, we found lots of things in the rafters of the garage from previous owners, stuff my hubby parked in the garage for lack of somewhere better and some things that I still had in boxes from the move 2.75 years ago. Yup, stuff I really needed and used on a daily basis.......
Monday took in the paperwork for the building permit, moved some things from the garage to the house, finding temporary homes for tools and yard items. I have wood stored between the floor joists. Tuesday, spent sleeping, Dennis shared his cold with me last week and arranging more stuff from the garage. Wednesday, more moving thing about from the garage, tossing junk, sharing found treasures with the neighbor hood kids. I found a few dolls that my mom had, she used to make clothes for them. The 4 year old next door loves the dollies and is dressing and undressing them. Dad arrived at our place late tuesday evening to help with packing larger items into a covered trailer that he lent us. I didn't want to leave much out in the yard for locals to run off with. We finished moving everything out of the garage, even loosened the bolts anchoring it to the foundation. I am glad that my dad likes to be involved in my projects around the house. I had a honey do and a daddy do list for the wednesday projects. We got both lists completed. Thursday, played some intense skipo games with dad and Dennis before dad needed to head back home.
Went to city hall on thursday to pick up the building permit. We are going from a single stall garage to a double stall with a loft workshop that I intend to use for my craft/quilt area. Planning large windows on the west and south sides for lots of light. I spent the rest of thursday moving things about in the yard to make as much possible space for the workers to do the garage construction. Moved cement garden edging that my hubby's ex installed. We couldn't move the lawn mower or snow blower on the sidewalk due to the edging. I don't like to hand scoop snow, not as young as I used to be... And before I knew it the week was gone. Saturday, visited with the guys that are planning to move the current garage off the property. I told them I would be so happy to wake up one moring and see the old garage simply gone. This is supposed to happen next weekend. Yayyyyyy.
I also chatted with the concrete guy, they plan to be here on the 13th to start work on the slab for the new garage. Anticipation, it's driving me nuts. Dennis is getting excited about the construction too. I know that this is late in the season for starting a project, but things just worked out for now.
I am also excited that my bestest friend Patrece is coming to MN for a visit next week. Can't wait to come get you from the airport. I guess this post lets everyone know that I spent some ME time this week, be online some next week, busy keeping Patrece busy the rest of the time.
Guess what?????? It is officially monday now, 1:30 am, but still monday, chat tonight, I'll be there, looking forward to record attendance again. Another busy week instore. Loser's unite for group hugs.
