SOOOOOO excited!!!

Just dropping a quick line to say HI And tell you all what has me so excited today!

Today I did a 5K walk/run. I ran about a 1/4 mile threw the hole thing. Walked most of it. Was having a bad hip and leg day. I got a cramp yesterday in my right leg, and man it is still bugging me today. And being born with hip displeasure kinda has its tough times. After trying to run a hard sprint my hips gave out and I waddled the rest of the walk. But I did manage to get a good run in threw the finish line.

A year and 90 pounds ago I don't think I would have made this happen. I'm so happy to say I LOVE MY NEW LIFE!!

OK off to ice down my feet, legs and hips. And Register for the next 5k walk. (October 16th)

Oh yea, best thing my 5K time was just a little over 52 minutes, yea seeing people do it in 30 mins or less kinda upsets me, but I didn't run it, I walked it. One day I will be there. My goal for the next 5K is to be under 50 minutes .. time to get working on it, come on legs! HAHAHA ..

Have a good day/night everyone

Great Job... I cant wait till I can do that. I dont think people who have never had any problems with their weight understand how important these kind of things are to us. I cant wait to play football with my boys, ride a roller coaster, run a 5K, tie my shoes and cross my legs. When I am able to do these things I will never take them for granted and enjoy every bit of it. You will reach your goal on your running time and eventually you will be one of those that do it under 30 minutes. I dont know you but I am proud of ya..  Keep up the great work..

I am so happy for you and proud of you and inspired by you Melissa! You are an awesome example of truly embracing life after wls, and I know you will keep on getting better and better at embracing and achieving your dreams!

Congrats on doing so well in the 5 K despite your pain and physical disadvantage withthe hips. You kicked butt lady! and I am so proud of your attitude and that even despite some pain and challenge you are already planning for and preparing for your next 5 K.

One day at a time, One foot in front of the other, and next thing ya know you will be running the whole 5 K and looking to move on to a 10K!

Hugs to you. Have a great day and thanks for sharing!
