Bariatric Buddy
I am on the way
The only thing that is holding back me from getting my pre-approval from my insurance company is having to be on a doctor monitored weight loss and exercise program for 6 months to 12 months. I have started the weight loss program that my PCP is recommending.
I am going on a cruise in about a month and half, which was a surprise for my birthday from my husband. My husband is concerned that I will not be able to enjoy myself at meal times due to my diet. I told him they will serve healthy choices on the cruise as well. Im sure there will be plenty of fruit and veggies i can choose from.
I know that it is only a matter of time now to get my surgery and to get on with lossing my weight and gaining my life back. Im looking forward to the time when everything in my closet doesnt fit any more and not because its too small but too big. I cant wait until walking up a flight of stairs doesnt cause me to be short of breath or leave my heart pounding.
All I can say is, life and good health, it will take some more time but I am on the way.
I hope everyone has a wonderful blessed day.
What a wonderful birthday suprise for you! Enjoy that cruise and focus on all the fun stuff except the food and drink ;0).
I look forward to being beside you in this journey!

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Welcome to the group Kimberly. You have the positive attitude that will get you through the hoops. Use this time before surgery to start the habits that will serve your success. I learned so much during the dietician visits before surgery. Writing down your intake helps to pinpoint areas to work on. I can tell what I am doing wrong by just looking at my food log.
The cruise sounds like fun, focus on activities and less on the food, do make the healthiest of choices when you can. Celebrate good choices.
I am a little over a year out from my wls and so thankful that I had the surgery. Post your comments, questions, concerns, and we will share our experiences with you. Let's be loser's together. Hugs
