I wasn't able to come home from the hospital until today. On day 3, I was very nauseated. food and movement were not very good and I was in a lot of pain. We got my nausea under control and got my pain under control and was released in the afternoon today.

Since I left the hostpital  I have only been able to eat about 1/3 of a 6oz cup of cottage cheese when I've ate. I am constantly thirsty. I have been watching the clock to plan for when I have to stop drinking so I can eat and when I can start to drink water again. Does this thirst ever go away? Do you have any meal suggestions for the first month? Thanks!
Teresa

The whole thing will get easier. the 1/3 of a 6 oz cottage cheese is right on. you should only be able to eat one to 2 ounces at this point. I am assuming you are on a soft diet?
Cottage cheese
fat free refried beans with a toudh of salsa and shredded cheddar heated up is nummy and high in protein.
you can also take most any wls friendlyfood and puree it a bit. Scrambled egg is soft too.

If you are thirsty, drink! You don't want to get dehydrated. I kept a drink at hand canstantly and sipped my way through the entire day. I also ate Sugar free popciles and that helped. If you are thirsty, you need the fluids. When you get to where you an more easily drink moe, the thirst will get better, but do listen to your body.

I am so glad the pain and nausea is now under control. Hang in there honey...it will all get easier, meanwhoile post ere with any questions or challenges and let us help you throuh!
