Stopping in after being sick.. still sick but getting better.. I can post! LOL..

So updates.. not much.. still here.. ssdd.. LOL..  I got my new puppy last week..thursday I think.. she is adorable.. She is a Shih Tzu or however its spelled.. Nick name is "Bubbles" the family I got her from -their daugter been calling her that.. so it kinda stuck.. but wanting to name her Isabella... hmmm.. will see...

I went to Church picnic today.. was nice.. ate ALOT.. well for me... I tasted everything I could ..ok attempted to but putting a spoon of this and that.. only to find out .. could not stomache it or suddenly soo full.. I think it is the pasta and "heavy" foods that got to me.. So then I shook my belly made some room..I wanted desserts.. yeah.. I said aloud that I am eating dessert even if I have plunger it down.... WOW.. I was bad today... fyi still pre op.... so no worries about hurting my pouch that I dont have yet... ok so on.. I ended up not being able to eat much of anything.. yeah.. I got really full on very small amounts.. I surprised myself...but was really wanting some sweets..lol... GRRRRR... maybe its from being so sick..and plus from eating changes I done in the last 3 months to be healthier... who knows..but darn it.. lol.. I wanted a cake!

So Home.. in pain.. joints etc.. ya know the drill... cozying up with my puppy..and getting ready for bed..... this has been my update.. :)

Hey lady.. ejoy that puppy... what would the world be without puppies??? (of any age really).
I am so glad to hear that your attempt at binging didn't go so well.. hahaaaa... That means you are shrinking your tummy and thats a good thing. Now..no more of that! lol.

When is surgery for you? Glad you are feeling a bit better and hope you keep on getting to feeling better. I have had a killer headache from sinus infection and am one unhappy puppy here..lol

Have a great day tomorrow.
Hugs back at ya

The cravings will get better as you break away more and more from the carbs.. One thing you may try, is when you crave those sweets, is eat some sweeter fruit like pineapple, grapes, strawberries. That satisfies me when i get to wanting something sweet. I think my bady has now trained itsself to prefer these healthier options. And with the juicyness of them, they are reallyrefreshing to me.

Let us know what happens with insurance.. Keeping my fingers toes legs and eyes crossed for you.lol.

Thanks.. Yep I am miserbale. BUT you lady.. take good care. I am sooo sorry you are so ill. I hope you continue to get better day by day. When i had pneumonia about 5 years back.. that nebulizer felt sooooo good to me. I hope it is helping you alot and this will all soon be a distant memory.

Tammy, enjoy Bubbles or Isabella, love to know which name sticks after a few weeks.

I too, am glad that your planned binge fell apart.  Keep working those new habits that you are learning these last 3 months.  The more you engage in you new eating habits, the less strange they will be after surgery.

Thanks for the honesty and sharing.  Loser's unite, one buddy to another.  Hugs

Ty , I am trying to get Isabella to stick...lol.. but kids keep calling her bubbles.. hmmm tough next few weeks..lol

sampling is not binging..haha... ok.. partially.. and I must admitt, I used to eat everything.. love salad..all kinds of pasta and potato..but crazy.. I could only stomache the healthier selections.. it was like somebody was watching over me...
Your welcome for the honesty.. I try to be as honest to my self as others.. being in denial or hiding is not going to help.. I also have a habit of being too honest sometimes

An wanna know a secret... it was actually relieving to admit here where others can read..to place out there that I had a tempting situation and I fought it.. ok.. well had no choice..lol..but got through it... instead of walking around keeping it to myself.. I can share it..and really have others to understand....and not look at me like I was out of place...

Work in progress... will share more as it comes.. :)

PS I posted few new pics of puppy on my profile..

That's what I love most about the online group -- the honesty, the sharing and the reality of REAL LIFE struggles that all of us go through.  The comforting fact is that we all face them AND get on the other side of them!

I have a huge family and we're always looking for ways to cut costs.  I received my usual coupons in the mail this week and saw discounts for the family's favorite all-you-can eat place.  I threw it in the trash!!!  Now, my family could have made use of it and gone without me, or gone with me and tortured me, but I decided none of us need to eat "all we can eat!"  Honestly, 1 week before surgery, buffets are scary to me -- it's the place of weakness for most Americans I'm sure.

Isabella is a cute puppy!  ;)
All the best,

~ Kim ~

DITTO! I am glad you share in our struggles and joys and know this is real and not a all talk group.. this is it.. an sometimes I can be too honest.. but no intentions of offending..I believe in honesty 100% and being positive as much as I can.. just like I positively would have LOVED some cake.. lol.. but glad I my body was not letting me get that far!

I have a big family too ! definitly looking for more ways to cut costs all the time.. apaprently I find them..and others catch up to me..lol.. and good job with the all you can eat places... I am guilty of taking my family on tues when kids eat free and now my oldest boy can not pass for 12 anymore.LOL but I stuck to the salads and enjoyed my family time... humor part is.. all you can is is pretty much the cost cutting with how my guys eat.. saved 40 bucks a week and they was full and satifyed.. fyi hubby eats for 6 and my oldest eats for..hmmm 4! LOL.. Good news is hubby is healthy..and not gaining.. GRRRRR high metabolism..

Ty for the comment on my puppy.. she is my new comfort zone.. but.. she is being daddys lil girl now...HMPH! lol...

I love the honest opinions too, sharing and caring among friends.  Keep sharing, I plan to share too.  We have all participated in these behaviors at one time or another in our lives.  I will be the first to admit that I have gone to the reunion and eaten too much, from the start of the gathering till the very end.  Thank goodness for my wls, I can dream of indulging, but stop the impulse.  When attending potluck, I always bring something that I can eat without guilt, then take mini spoons of other foods.  Careful rearranging and no one really notices what I eat.  I do not call attention to myself, but enjoy the company.  We are starting to share a post meal stroll with several  of my cousins.

Looks like Isabella claimed the slippers.  Her name suits her.  Dogs are so honest too, if they are tired, they sleep, hungry, they let you know.  There are pics of my dogs on my page too.  Pets are so important.  Hugs
