Hi everyone, surgiversary today - where has the year gone??

Things here in MN have kept me busy the last few days, I see I have many posts to read and catch up on.  Just realized that today is one year from my RNY.  I had hoped to be down lower in weight at this point after surgery.  Life happens, I need to buckle down and get back on the program set out by my team.  Starting each day with the plan to be on track, then somehow a carb here or there sneaks in.

I am so proud of myself this evening.  I went to the store to get some fruit, no fresh fruit present at home.  I managed to get through the store with only what I intended to get.  Grapes, apple, celery and carrots.  Avoided the center isles and the bakery.  Yayyy me.

Work has been busy, no overtime, but steadily busy the whole shift.  I prefer to be busy, makes the night shift slip on by quickly.

I have been getting in my exercise.  Started climbing flights of stairs at work before and after my shifts in addition to walking the critters and lifting weights twice a week.  I plan to continue the long walks outdoors while the fall weather holds out, fall is my fav season.  The leaves are just starting to get hints of fall color.  I would be happy with 6 months of fall, 1 month of winter and then a long spring.  Won't happen, this being MN and all, but a nice hope.  Excited that the peak of summer heat is past.

Have an enjoyable holiday weekend before the fall school schedule resumes for those of you involved in school activities.  Hugs

Great to hear from you lady! I am so proud of you too! Keep up the great work on ignoring those center isles and bakery dept. You can get that scale going again.. just have to really ask yourself each time you are ready to eat something "is this pouch worthy?" And if the answer is no... say no to the item.
Good for you on the exercise! Keep up the good fight. We are going to see that ticker move soon... I can just feel it in my bonezz...

HAPPY SURGIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!

Hugs!

 Happy anniversery from surgery.
I understand that life happens but I am sure you can do it... I agree we should have 6 months of fall and 1 month of winter her in MN {I am up in Mounds View}. But I dont think it will happen.. I hope we dont have any more major heat, the humidity has been aweful though.

My Brother likes the night shift to if it is just steady and busy but he hasn't been working right now cause his knees new replacement. {he is a cardio nurse}

I hope you have a great weekend too. my son starts the first grade on the 7th...

Elizabeth, next time I come to the cities for coffee, we may have to meet.  I come to the WSP coffee group when I can.  I have a brother that lives in St. Paul.  I am living in Virginia, north of Duluth on the iron range.

I agree, go away humidity.  Bring on a prolonged fall, I am ready.  The MN groups, at least twin cities area, post coffee locations on the MN board here on OH.  Always nice to find people who are aware of the location of some of the towns in MN.  I grew up in the SW part of the state.

I spend most of my time, right here at bariatric buddy group, the best one for my fit at this point.  A downright good group of folks.

Wish your brother rapid healing from his surgery.  I am a nurse too.  Hugs
