Where oh where is everyone?

It has been strangely calm and quiet around here this past week or so. Where are all of you hiding out these past days? I hope all is well with everyone.

Hi Patrece!  I had a great time on the chat last evening.  Kathy B. was there but had to leave early ;-(  We missed her.  She's so great!  I did make a couple of new friends too!

You might have seen my post, but I'll tell ya anyway.  I'm seeing my surgeon on the 13th to get my official surgical date.  I did get an insurance letter saying a tentative date of Oct 27th.  So, I know my surgery will be in October.  Yea!!!  I'm so looking forward to all the health benefits I'll gain from this WLS (RNY).  Increased quality and quantity of life!

I'm involved with two local support groups, one from my bariatric center and another that is from OH ;-)  I've gotten so much support from you and others here on OH too.  I love reading the posts and learning.  I try to support as much as I can too.

But, nothing is quiet in my house ;-)  I'll try to post more on BB board.

Take Care
Bridget

Hey Bridget! Awesome. I am so glad that chat is so helpful to you and so many others. Makes me happy I decided to start holding the chats.

Your tentative surgery date is on my birthday! How kewl is that!!!!!! We would share a very special date in common, as well as this very special journey we are on together. I am sooooooooo happy for you getting your approval from insurance! WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I am so glad you are finding the support and encouragement you need in your journey, and accepting it. It has been proven that those who seek ongoing support, even long after surgery, have the best success rate.

AND the support you offer to others is very appreciated by myself and them as well I know. We all have our own special insights and ways of being able to make a positive impact on the lives of others. And we all need that from each other.

I have my days too...LORD KNOWS that things go totally nutz here and it is difficult for me to check in. But when it stays slow in here for several days...it's time to make sure everyone is ok. I have to say with all honesty, I TRULY care about you all very much!

Ok my little chicky...all is forgiven. LOL.

Oh woman... I am so sorry you have been so sick. I had pneumonia about 4 years ago, and I was just miserable. I had it for almost 5 months, until they finally found an antibiotic that worked on it. I had a very rare form that was not sensitive to common antibiotics. There were times I was sure it was gonna get the best of me. But here I am! I will pray for you that it is NOT pneumonia, or if it is, that it is easily treated and you are on the road to recovery FAST! It is sooo hard to be so ill, and have kids to care for, especially the crew you have. Aren't kids great tho?!? I'm So sorry you wil be missing the 2 babies while they are gone. Hope they will be back in your loving arms very soon.

Take great care of YOU, and get better soon. Let me know what the docs find out on your illness, and get well soon my little chicky!

Hi - I've been on holiday in the UK - so my only excuse is that there was no electricity or internet - as I was camping in a field (in the rain !)

Just catching up on this great site now I'm back.

Regards

Still in a lot of pain?? Is it at least easing up gradually? I recall you had to have it open instead of lap. I know it is a longer recovery and more painful, but you should notice some gradual improvement. I hope thats the case! Sending healing prayers and wishes your way! Congrats on the great weight loss so far! WOOOO HOOOO!!!!
