Stomach noises...ugghh..

Navytown Mom
on 8/31/10 12:27 am

Yesterday I did really well with my eating plan, and I had dinner at 5:45pm. I didn't eat snacks last night and no dessert. Instead, I decided to try out the Navy gym on base since I had someone to watch my daughter. I did a great workout and I fell in love with that gym..then came home drank some water and got ready for bed. At 3AM my stomach was grumbling so loud and so strong that it woke me up. I couldn't sleep because it was just moving so much and was so noisy. I fought the urge to eat but I was upset that I couldn't sleep because of the noises and the feeling. Maybe I should have ate a snack before bed ???

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks in advance,

Susan

Hey Susan! After a good workout, it is a good idea to have some form of protein inatke to feed those muscles. Your body got hungry for sure. Maybe you could have a crystal light with a scoop of protein in it to sip on your way home.

Good for you getting to the gym, and its great you fell in love with it. Exercise is so much more pleasant when we can truly enjoy it.

I ditto what Patrece said. I only know because of my hubby from when he would go to the gym.

However I am pre-opt and if I have not eaten but worked out and gone to sleep I do get stomach pains not so much noise but alot of pain.

No middle of the night grumbles from my pouch, but then I am usually at work in the middle of the night, and having a protein snack. I did post a couple days ago of blaming the dog for the noises, this would have been about equal to you middle of the night.

I agree with everyone else, a protein snack after exercise is in order. Hugs
