psych test now wait for date
I had my pysch test on Friday and past. Now I am waiting to get the call on my surgery date. they told me it should be about 3 week till I am having surgery. I am excited. If anybody has any advice for me about well anything about the liquid diet or what to bring or how to handle it right after and deal with my 3 kids it would be great.
Fantastic! moving along..whoohooo... I have all my testing and diagnostics done.. waiting for the insurance part... I prob wont having anything til Thanksgiving.. hope its sooner! I am excited for you :) there is tons of advice for everything.. nobody gets tired of helping on here.. I know the only thing to offer about packing..since I been in for other surgeries..and from advice from others.. is make your list and check it twice... but bring your own Pillow..hmm BYOP? LOL nice abbriviations... and chapstick.. and forget the clean nightgowns..you wont care..save your clothes.. hospital attire will be better for all the in and out and checking they will be doing.. and let them do the washing.. lol... you can either use their skid marks socks or bring your own slippers... easy slide on's preferrable....
Kid help..take all help you can get.. but I hear it is not so bad the end of week one.. you have almost a month to get organized.. I wish you all the luck and hope you get help in every way possible you need :)

What to bring, yes lip balm, slip on slippers and a pillow for padding the seatbelt on the trip home. Pack lightly, I didn't and didn't use or need anything but the above items.
The liquid diet is tough for a few days, but keep your spirits high, your thoughts focused on the prize, getting to surgery, Have sugar free popsicles on hand for those times when you just need to chew on something during the liquid diet.
Congrats on getting through the hoops, surgery will be soon. Childless myself, others will have to come up with ideas specific for yours. Prepare meals ahead of time that can be reheated, enlist the help of family and friends. Let your kids know that you love them. Hugs

Thank you. I will make sure to bring a pillow and chapstip and slip-on slippers then for sure. I hate those sock things. I will tell my kids I love them and try to explain to them. lucky for me they have a pretty good concept of how to deal with me after sugery because right after I had my last baby I had a 10 pound weight limit. because I had my tubes tied and also some herniated disk in my back. and my daughter abought 1 1/2 at the time seem to just get it that she just couldn't climb on me and I couldn't hold her.
Congratulations!!!! I am sooo excited for you. Kathy gave you lots of great adivce. let us know when you have a date! WOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO
