This has to be the hardest thing I've ever done!
Day 1 and 2 were just fine.
Day 3 was a little hard.
Day 4 was just aweful.

The evenings are the hardest, I have to stay busy but it's hard, it's very hard.

I will stick with this, It's what I want to do, it's what I have to do.

Today is day 5, half way there. My goal today is to just keep drinking my water.
I've had a headeach now for 3 days and I hope it's not from not enough liquids but that just sounds funny. I feel like I drink all the time!! I know I pee all the time!! LOL

Thanks for listening!

If you can get through this, you can do anything! You are determined, You have resolve! Just keep looking at those before and after pictures they post on the home page for more inspiration! It's thrilling to me to know our lives are going to dramatically change for the better in just a few short days! My surgery is Aug. 23rd. I can't wait to be on the other side of this thing where we can look back and say, Wow, I feel so much better now. Now, If I could only figure out how to upload a picture! Ha! It says my pixels are too many, or something.

Grace and peace be with you all.

Janelle, to upload a pic, take your photo to a free resizing site, (there are several out there).  Resize it to 100 x 100 pixels, save and then use this saved resized pic to be your avatar.  Be sure to change your avatar as you slim down, love to see the progress along the way.

You will be on the other side of surgery before you know it.  Hang in there and be one of my loser friends.  Hugs

Hello there,

I am now on Day 13 of my 14 day pre-op diet......  So, I feel for you, truly I do.  I have found that the best thing for me is to keep up on protein (my doc says I can have as many protein shakes - mixed only with water or ice cubs).

Another thing that makes me happy is chicken soup broth (my husband made a chicken soup - he pulled off all the skin, I chopped celery, onions and we added carrots and potatoes and various spices, boil for a few hours and then strain) because i can have as much as I want - today it was two full mugs.  The coordinator of the program told me it's a good idea to pour it into ice cube trays for post-op...

My surgery is Monday morning.  I cannot wait !
This whole site is awesome - plus this group (esp. Kathy B.) is just fantastic !
Take care and let's share our experiences with each other.

Yes this is very very hard! But ohhhh so worth it!
The headache is probably due to carb or caffienne withdrawl and should go away soon. Could also be low blood sugar.
Hang in there! Wishing you much success in this difficult tie pre-op. Hang in there.. it will be so worth it!

Thank you everyone for your support.

It is so worth it, I know it will be.
I think I just needed a good cry. This is such a big decision, such a big step in the right path!

@Jeannie ~ good luck with your surgery and keep us posted on how you are doing!!
Thanks for the soup suggestion! I did that and it does break up the sweet tasting drinks for something that tastes like REAL food!

Hugs and Prayers to you!

Thanks and Hugs to everyone who help us along our journey!!
