Hello to all.

I have been off in my own little world recently and haven't posted much.  I see we have loads of new members and I just wanted to say hello and welcome to our group.

I am currently recovering from what I believe is a major league dumping episode.  I know better than to do what I did but I let myself get hungry to the point of starving and ended up overloading on carbs.  I got so sick and felt like I had a hangover all day today.  I won't be doing that again anytime soon.

Saw my PCP yesterday.  I had blood work done for 3 different MD's, including the surgeon.  Still waiting on some results but the labs that did come back were perfect. I really need a good swift kick in the butt.  I am not following the rules, especially with shakes and supplements.  I am truly blessed that my protein levels are good.  On the other hand, I gained 3 pounds and have to nip that in the bud.

The hernia is driving me crazy; I can feel it moving around, just like when I was pregnant.  I don't think I'm going to wait to have this taken care of.  I have a follow-up with surgeon next month and I'm going to talk to him about have the corrective surgery done.

As for the rest of my life, all is well.  My business is going no where fast, but I was approved for a full year of disability benefits.  So I am going to keep plugging along and if nothing else, it is a hobby to keep me occupied.

I really do need to get back to basics with my pouch and my diet.  I am going on to a year out and still have about 35 pounds to lose to get to my original goal of 145.  If I can only get to 160, I could live with that.  I am out of plus size clothing which has created a couple of cheap, but awesome shopping trips.  It really made me feel like a "normal" person to shop in the misses section rather than the plus sizes.

I hope all is well with everyone.  I hadn't seen any posts from Vickie; I'm hope she is okay.

Hugs to all.

Hi Colleen, it's good to see you posting again! I was wondering where you had disappeared to.

That was a bad call to starve yourself, but I guess you know that already by now. I'm glad you are OK though and I hope you get that hernia taken care of soon.

Last I heard, Vickie was super-busy taking care of her parents. She doesn't have much time to post. I miss her too.

Take care and don't be a stranger. I don't know about you, but I can't do this without the support of BB!

(((((Colleen, I have been missing your posts girlfriend!!!!))))))) LOADS OF HUGS HEADED YOUR WAY.

You have a few wow moments included in your post, so cool.  Regular size clothes, good protein levels, getting closer to goal.  I agree, you need a swift kick, and your butt whooping is here.  You know what to do for your health.  No further lecture, just do it girl.  Hope the hernia gets repaired soon, I can't imagine the feeling you are having.

I too miss posts from Vick and hope she and her parents/family are doing as well as possible.  Come post more often and behave yourself Colleen.  Hugs

Howdy stranger! Long time no hear! So glad to see this post from you.
Ok now.. as Kathy said there are some positives reported in your post above...and congrats on those! Glad the blood work is so far so good and hope the rest is the same!

So sorry to hear about the hernia. I hope they are able to get it repaired for you fairly soon here. Meanwhile, try not to strain yourself too much and make it worse.

Alrighty then.. go ahead... bend over... LOL. Like kathy said.. you know what you have to do... it is time to once again do it, and stay with it. you have come to far to mess it all up now. Remember...this is a lifelong comittment. Not a diet, not a weight loss plan.. but a lifestyle. Embrace it with all you have and draw on the success you have achieved so far to give you incentive to continue to make the right choices. We both know you never want to go back to where you were.

Big hugs to you!!!!!!!!!! You can do this lady! I know you can!

Get in on the free monthly teleclasses. I think you will enjoy them and benefit from them as well.

Amalia, Kathy and Patrece,

Thank you for responding to my post.  I think I may have a mild case of food poisoning.  I had some sandwich spread that had gone out of date and I didn't realize it.  I'm feeling some better today and I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be back to my old self.  I haven't really been sleeping well either so that hasn't helped matters.

I am also making a committment to get back on track with my shakes and supplements and start getting back to water aerobics.

I hope you are all having a great weekend!
