7 lbs in 7 days

I'm not gonna cry.  I did this to myself!  I managed to gain 7 lbs in a week.  I tired of it.  I am trying  but when I fail it is so low.  I start again tomorrow.  I gotta do this because if I can't manage to do this for myself or even for my daughter I will eventually die of some obesity related health problem.  I don't want to keep losing this battle.  I need help.

I think it is time to make a doctors appointment and see what type of help she can offer.  It isn't as simple as seeing a nutritionist or dietitian either.  This can't be how I continue to live life.

I know that I had the best amount of weight loss when I was walking so I start again tomorrow.  I will walk at least every other day but no less than 5 days per week.  This is not only for weight loss but also for a healthy heart and some damn sunlight.  If I keep staying in the house I am going to eat myself into a coma.  No matter how bad my knee hurts and Lord does it hurt I must and will continue.

I need to also de-clutter my life.  All the crap that piles up; physical and emotion needs to be put out so I have breathing and thinking room.  I cant function like this any more.

I can do this.  I will continue to look to this group for emotional support.  You all really are my cheer leaders and I thank you so very much however I also need to be able to stand on my own 2 size 11 feet.

I CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!.... I WILL DO THIS!!!!!!!

Hi gigi. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it is unlikely that you gained 7 lbs of FAT in 7 days. You need to eat 3500 calories OVER what you need to gain 1 lb. so do the math. Most of it is most probably water weight. Even so, it's a good idea to talk to your doctor and find out what it is that causes you to gain like this.
Walking is a great idea and I aplaud your decision. You can do it!!

You can do it! I remember very well when I felt the same way.  In the house, eating myself to death...  Walking is a good start.  Keep it up. Any excersice is better than none at all.

Are you eating a lot of processed foods? Gotta watch the salt!
I know salt will blow me up like a balloon and I can gain up to 10lbs of water weight at the drop of a hat.   If you are using salt STOP! Begin using other herbs and spices in it's place.
It truly is worth it.

I switched to all low sodium foods.. it takes some getting used to, but it's really not bad.

More than likely you have water weight.. try upping your water intake.  It will flush out all the excess fluid weight and help to keep you on track.

Don't give up! This is your life and your daughters future.  The pain will get better as the weight comes off.  Used to be I couldn't wait for the day to be over so I could go home and lay in bed because I hurt so bad.. Now I can't wait to get out of work to get to the gym and enjoy the new me! LOL

Keep your head up Girl! The first steps of the journey are the hardest. It's the uphill part, you will make it over this hill.. and remember.. "I can do all things through Christ whom strengthens me"

God Bless!

YESSSSSS you absolutely CAN and WILL do this. It is not easy, and Lord knows I know this. Take it one step at a time my friend. Get all the support you can. Yes, you do have to stand on your own 2 size 11 feet (lol) but sometimes ... many times that requires lots of support, and there is nothing in the world wrong with that. Part of being strong and successful is knowing you can't do everything alone and knowing when to reach out for help. Keep reaching girl!

I agree 7 lbs in 7 days cannot be all fat weight. I am willing to bet a lot of it is water weight. Up your water honey... up your movement... Moving helps with the circulatory process and helps move those fluids out of the body.

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!

You all are so awesome! I didn't go to sleep until almost six this morning and the kid got me up at 9 but I feel so much better and ready to get this started. I bit upset because yet another scale is broken and I like to know where I am when I start but all is good and its not the end of the world.

Knowing that you guys care means so much to me and I do listen to and try to take the advice that is sent my way. I think I know what happened as far as the weight gain. There was a week or about 5 days maybe 6 that I just refused to eat. I didnt drink much either. No protein shakes, no salads or fruits and vegies and hardly any water but I would drink when I took a Zantrex-3. I know that was a bad decision but I thout it would work. I had gotten down to 333 and figured I could starve off the remaining 7 lbs and it back fired on my tail. Now I am back at 340.

All is fine. I can do this and I will. Just keep on the support and I need to stay focused but it will get done.

(((((((Gigi)))))))) Boatloads of hugs coming your way.  I agree with the posts above.  Sorry it took me so long to reply.  This week all work and sleep and not much time for me and my needs.  Changing this today.  My, yes, mine, day.

Take charge of your mind.  This is the beginning of a permanent lifestyle change.  Not a fad or crash diet.  Doing what you have been doing is just plain bad for your body.  But you are right, today is a brand new day and you, Gigi, the strong woman that you are will stand up for your needs.  My dad always says folks with larger feet have a "firm understanding" lol.

Are you checking in with a counselor, could make a life changing difference.  I have done that in the past.  Helped me to see my self defeating ways.  Journal your feelings, pinpoint your personal needs and reach your hand right on out there to grab what is best for you.  Opening up to us is a grand start.  Thanks for sharing with us.  I am here to wander along this lifelong adventure at your side.  Supporters web to web.

Basics, fluids, proteins, exercises, supplements and vitamins for Gigi.  The things that bring us down and tempts us do not come home with us.  Weight loss support from dawn to dusk and back again.  Hugs
