Great information. I had seen this before, but forgot about it. It was nice to read this over again. Thank you so much. My favorite part is about rules were meant to be broken. BUT get right back to following the rules. That is the trouble I have. I mess up, and then I give up. Slowly, all this giving up leads me to a complete sense of defeat. I have to stop this cycle, or I will never get to my goal weight.

The article was very interesting and thanks for posting it. I will say that some of  the rules listed are not what my surgeon suggests and each Dr is different in their beliefs/rules. I believe  that we need to follow the advice of our own Dr but I did find some useful tips in the article.

Thanks again for sharing,

Susan

Some of the tips go against medical advice I received. For the most part, good stuff to remember. Thanks for the article.

Follow the rules set out by your MD, work the program and success is possible. Hugs

Thanks Nadia for sharing this. As the others have said, some of the adivce is not on target with what most Surgeons recommend, but alot of it is. The problem is that there are no absolute across the board rules that everyone follows. Some day I hope this will change. It can make it hard for us support group leaders to help others when we don't know what thier doc says to do, and we never want to tell others to go against what thier docs tell them.

When I do try to help oters know what to do, I go with what is the most common instructions, but always try to remind them to listen to thier docs. This article offers some great info. Thanks again
