Hello everyone

Sorry been M.I.A. for a few weeks, things here having been crazy, Trying to buy a home, we were in contract had everything going until the home inspection yesterday found somethings wrong and they were kinda important they needed to fix them before we can move in. Well today the advised us they were only gonna pay a part of it, we said no we are done here, we will find somewhere else, Now they are reconsidering everything .. we will see

Update on me, I have hit a stall and was going insane, what am i doing wrong nothing has changed, now what??? Told my self it will happen from time to time, no big deal. I will get back on track soon. Well its been almost a week, and no movement on the scale, BUT new break through I now wear 10/11 jeans :-) and I am excited about that. Scale is not moving but still shrinking. hahahaha ...

I need pointers on how to get the scale moving again, i have about another 30 to go until my first goal, but would really like to loose another 50pounds. with the heat I haven't really gone out for a walk, Going to the gym for deep water fitness. I love to swim and be in the pool. Deep water fitness is twice a week for an hour and then it is open swim after class try to get about 1 1/2 to 2 hours in. I haven't seen the personal trainer in a month or so, money just got a bit tight with trying to buy the house. A friends gave me a exercise machine to use. Anything else I can try? Food ... shakes... drinks.... anything. I really want the scale to start dropping again.

hope all is well with everyone. I am working overtime this weekend (nights at that) not to much exercise for me gonna try to wonder inside the building for a bit, walk the stairs a few times, try to work some more off. Also Question, do sketchers shape ups really work? My birthday is coming up and I really want a pair, but wanted to see if anyone has tried the first

Take care, keep safe, keep cool if it is hot where you are

Your life is busy Melissa, you will restart the weight loss again. Vary the exercise routine, increase calories by 100 or so a day and increase your fluids is the best trick to jump start losing. You have been doing great on the losing, congratulations.

Hoping that all falls into place for the house. I have been in your shoes, and needed compromise from the sellers.

I have not tried the sketchers, wearing prescription shoes myself, so not planning to try them. Someone out there will have an opinion to share one of these days.

Have a wonderful weekend, keep cool in the warm weather. The pool sounds so inviting. Hugs

Congrats on your weight loss so far!  I can't wait to fit into a size 10 pair of pants!  I haven't had my surgery yet, so I really don't feel like I can help on a stall yet, but I hope you can get it figured out soon!  Are you eating enough?  Sometimes not being able to eat enough will stall it out.  I also know, for myself, switching out calories daily takes me out of a stall all the time.  These numbers are just for an example, but I will eat 1800 one day, 1500 the next, 1700, then 1300, then 2000, then 1500.  It really gets things moving (now If I could put this in practice all the time, I wouldn't be having surgery!)  But try to shake things around and keep your body guessing. Sometimes when you get the same calorie count per day, your body just sits there with it and holds on...

I own 2 pairs of sketcher's Shape ups (sandal's) and am in LOVE with them!  I have no clue if they work or not as far as shaping up or helping to lose weight (I am losing weight because I'm doing the diet that the nutrition wants me to do to show I can lose weight)  But one thing I have really noticed is that my feet no longer hurt.  My heels no longer hurt and best of all, my back no longer hurts.  I had a car accident when I was 20 years old and broke my back in two places.  Ever since then, I have had chronic back pain.  I bought the first pair of those shoes in May, I think and my back has not hurt even ONCE since then.  So whether they work or not, I'm sold on them for life!  LOL!!  I only have the sandal's / flip flops but not the actual tennis shoes yet.  But once the cold comes I will be buying a pair.  They are worth the money alone just for the comfort and that my back and feet no longer hurt.  Definitely buy a pair!  But try them on in person.  I've found that the size varies greatly by shoe style and design.  I usually wear a 9 and I had to go to a 10 on one shoe.
Jennifer - Starting the whole process all over again and ready this time!

Hey gal.. the stalls are quite normal and can last 3 weeks or more sometimes. The closer you get to a healthy weight, the slower it comes off and the more stall outs you will encounter. Follow all the basic wls rules.. drinking plenty of fluids.. getting in the protein and try to get in a bit more activity. The others gave good info as far as upping calories a tad and shake things up a bit in your activity.

Stress can also contribute to a slow down or stall out.. but never fear! just stay on track and the scale will move again. Our bodies need a break now and then to adjust to everything.

as far as the scetchers, I have heard as said above they are very comfortable and offer great foot support, but have also heard they really do not make a difference in the effectiveness of your walk.. BUT have not tried them myself.. so its hear - say.

Best of luck with the house situation. Hang in there... that scale will move!
