Had the BEST day yesterday
I had a great Saturday, hope everyone else did too. Knew I was heading out on a road trip with the dogs, and it was quite an adventure. Headed to the Twin City metro area (MN) for a family reunion.
While in the car, I listened to continuing education for leaders here on OH. Arrived for the reunion, ate a little, stayed with the healthier things available potluck. Visited with several family members that I haven't seen for a while. Enjoyed the weather outdoors. After leaving the reunion, drove around the cities and all the road construction, and met my friend Mary (Minnesota Mary) from OH. Visited with Mary and her husband Micheal, shared a light supper and I was "on the road again".
The sky was starting to look suspicious, lightning and dark clouds as I started the trip back home. During the worst of the weather, the interstate traffic was going at 40-45 mph due to hard driving rain and wind. We stuck together, made it through to better weather and the speeds picked up to normal again. Made it home just after midnight. Took my last dose of meds for the day and hit the pillows. Seems like a lifetime ago, even though just yesterday. Took the morning for myself today, slept in till nearly 11 am and just getting ready to head outdoors with the critters.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone. Do something nice for yourselves, it felt good when I did that yesterday. Hugs

So glad you had a wonderful time! And so glad you made it home safely from your road trip. I am looking forward to my "me time" coming up this coming week. Although it is a combination of business training and me time. I am sooo looking forward to it. Then I get back Friday and have 5 days to get things in order here before my hysterectomy. woo hoo...no more TOM...lol

glad you had a great trip, Kathy. My day was really fun, also. Had 8 friends ove with their horses, we rode for two hours, got rained on, came back, dried off and had a late potluck lunch! Sat around playing games until the rain quit and everyone could load up and go home! Terrific time.

It was so great to see you, Kathy - as it always is! I'm glad you get to the Twin Cities on occasion, giving me the chance to get to know you. Saturday worked out just great and it was so comfortable having you over, even though I wasn't really "spiffed up" for company! You are so easy to be with. Just like you are on here, friendly and personable. Bariatric Buddies is lucky to have you.
I'm so glad you made it home safely. Hope to see you again soon.
