I hope that everyone had a great holiday weekend
Dennis and I arrived home from our 3 day weekend about 30 minutes ago. We were carried into the hose by a swarm of the largest mosquitoes of this season. I have welts all over from the attack this flying mob gave us. We only took the essentials in this evening. The light by the back door attracted even more of them to the yard.
We left northern MN Friday morning, travelled to the MPLS/St. Paul area to a motel that we had reserved. Spent Friday afternoon walking around the Mall of America. My feet were ready for shoes off by the time we walked all three levels, there are at least 400 stores in the mall. We did not go into many, just window shopped and went out for supper. We stopped by the amusement park area on each of the levels to watch the rollercoasters and other rides that the crowd was enjoying. Neither of us is much into heights. We enjoyed by watching others and they were having a grand time. We put 15000 steps on the pedometer during our long walk. Whewwww, that explains the tired tootsies.
Saturday morning we joined a wls coffee support group meeting in WSP. We have met with this group a few times now and enjoy the support shared. Thanks to WSP coffee grou for accepting me as one of the group.
After coffee, we got in the trusty car for a trip to my former hometown, and my dad's place. Saturday evening was my 30th highschool class reunion. Had fun reminiscing over pics from the past and sharing. After the supper with former classmates, we walked the dogs around town. The evening was completed with sitting on the hillside outside town to watch fireworks.
Today for the fourth, we watched the kiddy parade and grand parade, went to the park for a pork bbq, I shared my carby parts of the meal with Dennis. The bbq was very tender and tasty. We watched local kids play on the inflatable bouncy areas, enjoyed the stage show and before the queen coronation, headed back to the car for the return trip home. Several stops for doggy breaks and people breaks too and we arrive home. It is nice to get away, I needed the break from work and usual tasks, and even nicer to get home to our own bed.
I will catch up with posts monday morning. Hope to chatter with many of you during monday evening chat tomorrow eve. Take care. Hugs

Yes Dani, I wear my pedometer every day. I feel best when I have accomplished the 10,000 steps. I am getting healthier, not ready for a marathon yet either. Each 2000 steps is about equal to a mile. That is a lot of shaking and walking. Go ahead and ask questions, gotta get info somehow. I don't mind sharing.
I don't care to be the buffet for the skeeters, but they had different things in mind, lol buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
