Bariatric Buddy
Oldie but Newbie
Hello My name is Alicia and I've been on OH since 2004. I've not kept up w/OH for a very long time and have missed a lot. Now I'm looking for some people who will supportme. I've fallen off the wt loss track and gained 50 lbs. I can make many excuses but the biggest one is I've made poor choices and now I'm paying for them. I like the idea of a wkly meeting online. I don't have time to attend the local group plus I don't feel comfortable w/them. I'm looking for ALL advise. Quick and easy Recipes, exercise, emotional, physical support. You name it I need. I'm looking for support on a daily basis as well. I'm on facebook, myspace, tweeter, gmail, sparkpeople and of course here. All the support I can get. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to many friendships and support!
Welcome to the family Alicia. You are in the right place for support. I have had a busy weekend and just catching up with the posts. You can get back on track and use your tool to your advantage. Remember wayyyyyy back around surgery time. Back to the basics. We will do this together.
I had my RNY 10 months ago and seem to be stuck in a long term stall. We will just follow the rules, protein first. Come post here often, share ideas, concerns, needs we will do our best to help. Sometimes weekends get quiet, do not despair. I work night shift (yup 11p-7a) and will pop online when I can.
Sorry your local support is not a fit. I thought so at first too, then after a few meetings, I am hooked and need to be there for my benefit. I even have my hubby coming to the support group meetings when he is able.
From your user name, I think you love and appreciate dogs. We have two, a yorkie who thinks she weight 150#'s and know that she is the alpha dog, she spends a fair amount of time letting all the big dogs in the neighborhood knnow that she is the BIG dog on the block. We also have a black pom that knows that he is adorable and flirts with anyone who may be tempted to give him a scratch.
Let's keep losing together. I am online here at OH most days and look forward to reading and sharing with you. Hugs, Kathy
