tooting my own horn
I completed my first 5k walk/run this morning in right around an hour. I didn't know if I could do it but I just kept going and drinking and going and drinking. There was good support and I even met another RNY-er who had the same surgeon! I could not have done 1/2 mile prior to my surgery. Now I'm trying to replace fluids.
If anyone is considering if it is all worth it, in my opinion, this surgery gave me more life to enjoy. I am truly blessed and thankful.
Peace to all.
