I want to thank everyone for all the support you've given me. I've made so many changes over the past two weeks and am excited to be on this journey. i have been stable at a loss of 10 lbs for a few days, and my calorie intake is consistent btwn 1200 and 1500 calories. today was 1600 though. but i havent been wanting to wear pants because i dont fit any of my jeans, well 1 pair but not as well as i'd like. my favorite pair was about a size smaller and i havent had the nerve to try it on. well i did today, and it fits with room!!!!!! even the legs and stomach feels much better in the jeans. what a differnce 20 lbs since march makes. granted i lost 7 lbs by switching psych meds and getting on thyroid medication, and the rest from hard work and exercise, but i am so excited. it might be 15 lbs, i am not holding my breath on the 20 until i see it say it for a few days. just wanted to share!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO... You go girl!
It will be quite typical  for periods of time to come and go where you are at a standstill. The key is DO NOT get discouraged and go back to old habits, because the loss will begin again. the body has to catch up with the loss. You can also nudge the scale by upping activity slightly.
You are doing great! I hope to see you continue in your dedication to your journey!
Congrats the the great job you are doing lady! Hugs

yay!  that's awesome!

From my years of losing weight (and gaining, gaining, gaining) when you switch your calorie intake every day, you will burn calories more efficiently.  Say your daily goal is 1500.  One day you want to eat 1500, the next 1800, the next, 1300, 1700, 1200, then start all over again.  I used to do this when I was younger, in my 20's and thin and needed to lose weight fast to wear a certain dress or outfit or bikini to the beach.  It works really fast, it keeps your body guessing and it doesn't realize that it's going into starvation mode. and the constant calorie switching helps keep plateau's away.

Now, if only I could stick to it now, I wouldn't be this heavy!  However I am doing it now for my goal to lose my weight before surgery.

Keep up the hard work!  It's working!

lol i do that with the scale too. i got 2 that said im down 13 lbs but will check again in the morning. i didnt check a 3rd time yet. well i did and it was on a mat and it said i was below my hospitals goal weight of 25 lbs. lol, knew that was wrong. guess thats why u cant put a scale ON TOP of anything. i was just messing around, im not that goofy. but our bathroom is small.

Love the positive attitude Sara. One day at a time and you will have your needed pre-op loss and then some. I started weighing my foods yesterday. Interesting what the mind and scale say. I found that I was not eating enough. Upping the protein and let's see what happens.

wow. thats really interesting!! a food scale is on my list of things to buy... ;) had too much protein for dinner last night and i didnt want the veggies, too full. i am thinking good things for you!
p.s. i think i need to back off the scale. my water weight or something keeps going up and down. last night it was saying i lost 2-3 lbs all day yesterday nearly, and today its saying im steady at my 10 lbs lost. must stop this relationship with my scale..... lol.
thanks for the support. i am super excited to be making these changes. i have no idea why i was so stubborn before! esp because of where it put me.
