Hi there. I'm still here. I just try to not spend a ton of time on the computer. Haha. I'm roughly 6 almost 7 weeks out. I'm down about 26 pounds. It doesn't feel right to me. I'm having a hard time gettting my protein in. I am still eating soft foods mostly but I have graduated to sucking on crackers and pretzels. I can eat soup and chili...and cottage cheese and yogurt of course. These darn protein drinks make me nauseous. The only time i feel sick to my stomach is when i have those drinks. Creamy, clear, powder or pre-made liquids. Ack! I know how much I need my protein but I am having SUCH a hard time finding one that I can get down.
I'm going to check out what they have on this site....but I hate ordering something that I don't know if I will like. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks!

Try making some boneless skinless chicken breast and puree it with chicken broth.  I liked it a lot.  I even bought some chicken with gravy baby food.  Just added some salt and pepper for the taste it was pretty good.

I understand about the protein drink.  I am starting to hate the milk based kind.  I bought some fruity blends from my doctors office and there OK.  I also use the special K protein water mix that I had to my H2O.  It has 30 calories and 5g of protein and 5 grams of fiber.    Right now I need the calories.

I have progressed to foods a little faster than you because I just can't take the pureed stuff.  I'm only 12 days out and I'm eating cottage cheese and add milk to make it smoother, egg whites, cream of wheat, and chicken and soup all of these are not purred, I just chew and chew and chew.  You have more will power than me when it comes to purred stuff.  I just can't stomach the stuff and it makes me nauseous.

Good Luck!

The easiest way I found to get in my protein supplements was to mix a scoop of vanilla protein into my orange crystal light. tastes alot like an orange creamsickle. And then add lots of ice, so it is ice cold. The colder the protein is the better it goes down for me. I actually enjoy the vanilla protein in the orange CL. Give it a try! Then you get your protein and liquids in together too.

It is going to be a while yet until you can eat enough protein to give up the supplements... so get creative.. with how you use them, maybe you don't need another brand, just a new way of using them. Add protein owder into some frozen fruit and frozen greek yogurt, add a touch of splenda if needed and blend for a nummy smoothie.

Best of luck!

Adrianne, do your best to get in the protein. I went with chopped meatloaf, fav recipe and my hubby had sliced. Greek yogurt has twice the protein of regular yogurts. Add powdered milk to the water when making hot cereal (1/2 cup milk powder to 1/2 cup water). Flavor the plain greek yogurt with sugarfree jelly/jam, crystal light powder, sugar free pudding powder, sugar free syrups. This will get easier. Hugs
