Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there.
Sunday again, went to the local festival yesterday, Land of the Loon. Yes, based on the loon. Locally there are several loons, listening to their sorrowful song is intense. Venders from several towns were present to hark their wares. Food venders too, it was easy to walk past most of the food venders, no draw this year. We did stop by the cheese curds stand, had a few, glad to share them with Dennis. Left the park after touring through lots of booths and dreaming of things I wanted to make. Several wonderful ideas. I was loking through the things at a couple of different photographer's booths, looking for just the print I had in mind. Didn't find what I was looking for, but I will at some point. The crowd was thick, people milling around, enjoying the local music, bouncing area for kids.
There was a light mist during part of the parade, not enough to cause us to want to leave, the kids were a blast to watch while they chased for candy at the edge of the street. I brought grapes to munch on for myself, kept me from craving the candy I knew I didn't want or need. The floats were creative, cars brightly polished, politicians friendly and clowns just clowning around.
Dennis and I walked the half mile to the parade route with our folding chairs and back. Missed out on trying to find a parking space closer to the parade route than our own driveway. The walk was nice, the breeze light, the clouds broke up after the parade and the time at the park good. We left after a couple of hours, tired from the crowd, ready to relax at home for a bit.
Have a grand Sunday everyone. Hugs
