OK... over the past couple of days I have added calories to my diet.
I was only getting in about 300 a day.  The past week I have been able to up it to around 450/500 per day.

I am not eating junk, but added about 140ish calories by drinking oj in the morning. (this helps my potassium level).

I was on period last week and gained 4 lbs, but now that I am off it, I am still up 2 lbs...

I have no clue what is going on!!  Thinking about calling my NUT.  Could I be retaining fluid do to high humidity????

Please help!

The number of calories that you are getting still sounds very low to me.  What did your NUT recommend for you?  Maybe I'm just taking in far more than I should?

Far be it from me to give advice, as I am continuing to struggle with my choices and the scale bouncing around, but maybe you would find something helpful in the info that Patrece provided regarding good vs. bad carbs in the message that I posted last week.  Perhaps it is applicable to you too?

Good luck!

I talked to my NUT and she said I am way to low and that since I have bumped up my calories that my body is holding on to it, but just to keep doing what I am doing and it will begin to come off again.

I agree with your Nut, do what is recommended. Your body will start to shed pounds again. When calories are scarce, like at 300 cal/day, you body will hang on to every ounce like it is the last one coming ever. Your body will realize that fuel (food) is going to continue to come and your metabolism will pick up. Same thing happens with liquids.

Your weight loss will have rapid losing days and slower days. the rapid losing ones will outnumber the slower days. Best wishes and hugs.

Give your body time to adjust a bit, and make sure you get in extra water. especially s the heat outdoors gets higher. And limit salt. Hang in there... It will move for you! Let us know in a few days what is happening.

does your nut say that even 500 calories is low. sounds real low to me.  even though it sounds nutty, eating such a low amount will turn around and bite you in the butt.  your body continues to hang on to the weight because it is afraid of starving to death, starvation mode.  hang in there and do what your nut says.  you will be fine. we are here for you.  take care. vick

From the nutrition side you need approx 800 cal a day and 300 cal a meal is a good range. I can't seem to get enough in myself so know it can be hard but the more I eat the better my wt loss is going. . so 8---900 daily without snacking between meals is what my group of NUTS recommend
