Yayyyyy for you Sara, two more days and the soda will be out of your system.  Hope you like the carnation instant breakfast.  Sugar free of course.  The water/crystal light will be a habit in a couple of weeks.  This is a great start.  Hugs

i have a confession. i couldnt find sugar free, so i got regular this month. don't stone me... ;) who sells sugar free? walmart didn't. one more bottle of water and im at goal, but i said that an hour ago. found another friend on these boards and im letting her lean on me for support. im good at that. unfortunately my dad called tonight, worried about me dying during surgery, wanted to know how much i weighed (and his entire clan of literally 15 people that live in his house) and then he had the nerve to say to me " i thought you weighed more" OMG i hate that man

Wow, he has nerve.  I hope he can be supportive of you.

Yes, get the sugar free kind next time, the box is blue.  You are still pre op, no harm done in one box of the sugar kind.  I find the sugar free kind at my local supermarket, Wally world didn't carry it around here either.

I won't stone you, just here for support through this grand adventure.

YEAYYYYYYYYY for you! Great job on getting in fluids and cutting out the pop. Ya know as soon as I saw you refer to it as pop and not soda, I wondered if you were from Ohio..lol. I grew up in Ohio. We always called it pop.. in other states people were like huh??? when referring to it as pop.

Don't sweat the carnation instant breakfast not being no added sugar. as Kathy said, you are still pre-op, so it won't cause you to dump or anything. You can order it online at walmart.com you can also get it at places like walgreens, rite aid, etc.

Finish tha****er for the day! Great work today! keep it up, you are going to do this!!!!

thanks. i am hoping i'm not being too bothersome. its just that this site is still so new t me and i dont have a lot of friends. sure people who support me but sometimes it comes with strings in my family. and my husband supports me but he gets the idea that he wants surgery too and i think forgets about my needs sometimes. not sure, but maybe. i had some extra time to write because kiddo was with her aunts. i will check the other post. today i plan  on exercising too and doing the other things. I can do this. :) we switched our butter too and next month maybe i will buy good bread, what kind are you supposed to buy? i know bread is bad but im still preop and unless they tell me no bread at all as they are preparing me, i have to have a few slices a week. not have to, but usually do at least. i just cant do skim milk. i havent tried it but i can barely handle 1 percent so i know skim is out of the question. anyways im writing in my autobiography but took a brain break. i want to share my new chapter with everyone when its finished. its a little sloppy as i sometimes, or often get when i write, but i find ways to get back on track but cant delete what i wrote that doesnt fit even though thats what they taught us in english class. i dont do it for class - write offtopic- but this book is mine and i will do with it what i want. i guess, lol. its the only thing besides surgery, my marriage, God, and my daughter that im serious about. what were we talking about?? lol. i get sidetracked easy like i just said. thanks for the support. its crucial, i know.

You are not being bothersome at all! Don't ever worry about that. This is why we are here. If you have 20 questions a day...by all means post them! I am happy to walk beside you in this journey.

As for the bread, choose either a whole wheat or a whole grain. This offers the best nutritional value and is so much healthier for you. I like the multigrain breads. As for the milk, I use 2%. Most nuts and surgeons recommend 1% or skim, but I cannot stand them. My hubby likes whole, so we compromise at 2%.

Your autobiography is just that YOURS! And so you should write it as you feel it. Good for you in following this passion. I look forward to a sneak peek in th future.

You are very welcome for the support. ANYTIME!
Hugs
