Hi everybody!  I hope everyone is doing ok, and Patrece, I hope you are hanging in there; Iam keeping you in my prayers.

I haven't changed my numbers yet just in case it's a fluke but as of this morning the scale is reading 189.8.  I can't believe I have lost 91 pounds.  The last week has been weird with food because I just haven't been all that hungry and when I do eat I feel like it wants to come back up although it has been staying put.

My PCP thinks I have a hernia.  I'm not having any pain whatsoever so I'm not panicking about it but my stomach is really hard and just to the left of my incision it's slightly distended.  As long as I'm not in pain I will wait until my next follow up with the surgeon in November to see what he has to say.

I have been sort of taking a break from the jewelry for the last few days but need to get back to work on it.  I've been trying to do some fine-tuning to the website but can't get it to take certain changes and can't figure out why.  I'm going to have to give them a call.  I'm really glad I decided to go with Yahoo so that I have technical support.

It's already been a very long day; I got up at 2:45 AM this morning.  I am going to cook dinner early and the family can nuke it when they are ready to eat.  I feel an early bed time coming on!

Love to all.

Hey Colleen! nice to hear from you lady! Have missed your daily posts. Thanks for the well wishes. I am hanging in there and haven't been in as much pain the past 3 days.. still having some but much better (cycle over). I tend to see a big increase in pain a week before and all during my cycle, and that comes every 2 to 3 weeks, so at least I get a little break from the more severe pain.

Glad you are taking breaks when needed. You don't want to lose the joy you get from making the jewelry.

have a great nights sleep. Hope to hear from you tomorrow.
Love and hugs!

Patrece

Hey Colleen, congrats on the successful lowering of your numbers.  I miss seeing your daily posts.  I have been mia a bit also.  I finally decided I needed to finish some projects I have had started around here for a long time.  Top  of the list was to complete the trim pieces around some knotty pine I installed in the kitchen.  Now the basic part of the kitchen has been done for over a year.  We gutted the whole kitchen over a year ago, added a window, removed a partial wall and opened the space up to make it more user friendly, namely I wanted my kitchen to be user friendly, and it wasn't when I moved in here with Dennis 2.5 years ago.  I have had the air compressor and a few other tools hanging out in the kitchen for a few weeks now.  So, I went to the lumber yard, got the needed trip pieces, varnished them in the garage and completed tacking them to the wall this afternoon.  I am pleased with the results.  Best of all, Dennis can haul the tools back to the garage tomorrow.  No more walking around the ladder and air compressor, yayyyyyy.

I have been working on trying to finish a pile of quilt tops that have been sitting near the machine in the basement for several months.  So far, I have the quilts layered together and the edges sewed around.  I am working on a pile of about 10 lap/baby size quilts at this time.

Most importantly, I have been back to the gym 4 times this week, increasing my intensity and did weight training twice so far this week.  Yayyy Kathy.  Work has been keeping me busy, I did tell them NO the other day when I was offered an extra shift.  It is good to lookout for myself once in a while.  Empowering.

Congrats on looking out for yourself too.  Take a bit of time for self care each and every day.  It is easy to be the care provider and ingore self care.  We are important and if not cared for, we do not have the strength or energy to care for those around us.

Hugs
