i have a question....
hi everyone...i went to the nut on thursday and got moved to stage 4...i tried having salad and it went great but i feel guilty eating it...is this something that will pass? tonight for dinner i had some greek salad with a piece of chicken and it went down and stayed down great. but i have a bit of guilt because its not refried beans or ricotta with marinara...am i going crazy???
this to shall pass if u let it. that is the trick. the surgery changed your body but not your mind. you will have to work on this. just say to yourself each time. i am doing the right thing. if you pray, pray about it . you will do great. good luck on your journey. hugs, vick
EXPERIENCE WITHOUT REFLECTION IS HOLLOW
You are NOT going crazy! You have to remember, in all the years of battling weight, we have learned to adopt that nasty dieters mentality. That is where you are struggling. Do yourself a huge favor and release it. This is no longer a diet it is a lifestyle. And to maintain a lifestyle, you have to be allowed and able to eat more than mush. Stay focused on the protein first, and the other fods next, supplements, water and activity. Keep your portions in check. You will be fine. Goodbye dieting hello lifeong success!

Charla, welcome to learning to eat for life. You will be able to eat solids. Just remember protein first, chew, chew some more. Small portions, water, supplements and exercise. Most of all, learn to love yourself, positive mental talk is more than welcome, actually needed for sanity. Congratulations and hugs.
