How long after your surgury should you wait to swim and/or take a bath?

Call your surgeons office and see if they will release you.

I am a big scardy cat so, I waited until doc said it was ok.

It is typically 2 weeks if your procedure was done laproscopically.. The guideline is for allincisions to be healed over.. no open areas. Then you are good to go! best of luck!

If your surgery was laproscopic, most likely 2 weeks then you are good to go. The guideline is, all insicions must be closed...no open areas. Then you are good to go in the water!

Yes, your incision(s) need to be closed and then go for a dip.

My doc says 4 weeks.  I was able to take a bath 9 days out, (it was great), as long as the incisions are not in the water.  Check with your doctor.  They are all different.
