Bariatric Buddy
Newbie!
Hello folks. I am a new member of the group and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Mandi, or Amanda for long. I've been looking into bariatric surgery for years now and have finally been able to get up the money to get my procedure date and everything. I will be havind bpd/ds on July 14th.
There really isn't much more for me to say yet, that I know of. The 20 lbs of weight loss is coming easier than I thought it would, I've lost 5 lbs with no trouble at all. I've yet to switch to no drinks during meals or start adding in shakes to my daily diet.
What else is there... my most major co-morbidity, if you want to call it that, is Fibromyalgia that is sever enough that I no longer work. I am hoping with this surgery and weight loss, I will be able to return to work and lessen my everyday pain.
OH! My current weight is 323, hoping to get down to 175 at the end of this journey.
Congrats on your upcoming surgery. Its a big step and can pay off tremendously! I too have fibromyalgia, but not as severe as most who have it do. It has helped some to lose the weight for sure. My activity level and abilities are so much better now. The pain I do have is fairly tolorable.
I wish you the best of success in this journey and look forward to sharing it with you.
Welcome aboard! Let us know how we can assist you in this most amzing journey to better health!
