Contstantly feeling sick
OK I miss eating I love the taste of food. How ever at this point I still can not eat even 3 tablespoons full yet. If I eat more then 5 teaspoon fulls I am regretting it. I am still pureeing my food well most of my food. I can eat chicken as long as it is pureed. Doing well with apple sauce and yogurt. Again 5 teaspoon fulls at a time. I am now eating four times a day. But every time after I eat I feel sluggish some times sick to my stomach and usually have to lay down for a hour or two. I can keep fluids down just fine. Yes started doing my protein shakes again. They are staying down. I get burst of energy and I can walk for a hour or two. But then I am done for the rest of the day. I am getting to the point where I do not want to eat. I have more energy in morning as long as I do not eat any thing. But I will get hungry after being up for a few hours. Maybe I should do my protein then. Cause the food just to heavy on me. I am losing a inch a week all the way around every where. Do not know yet how much weight will know this Thursday. I do not feel like I am losing. But I am definitely not eating much. Any advice will be greatly appreciated

June... Hang in there honey! This is all going to pass for you. If yu cANNOT EAT FOOD IN THE MORNING, BE SURE YOU GET IN A PROTEIN SUPLEMENT. yOU NEED SOMETHING TO START YOUR DAY WITH.. oops sorry for the caps, accidentally hit cap lock button.
You are still very early ut from surgery. I am thinking 5 tablespoons may be a bit much for you and thats why it is causing the discomfort. Get something and measure out one oz. Eat that much, unless you feel satisfied before that is gone, then stop. Never eat beyond what satisfies you. Be sure to eat very very slowly as well. Making that meal last 20 to 30 mintes. Take a moment in between bites to chew, let it settle a bit, then take the next bite.
Over filling your pouch will make you feel ill and fatigued. Maybe try for 2 protein shakes and 3 tiny meals a day.
Trust me... you are dfinately losing fat! Early on it can take a while to really "feel" it, but you will. And losing an inch a week is wonderful!!!!
Try to determine what foods are not sitting well now, and avoid them for a couple of weeks then try them again. Sometimes it takes a while for our new pouches to tolorate some things.
Keep us posted on how things go. Try the suggestions above. Also try to take a second walk each day. This may help give you more energy too. AND be sure to get in the liquids! Id you are not getting enough, you will feel awful, and sluggish.
Hugs to you. best of luck. keep us osted please.

Thank You all very much. Going by the book wanting me to eat that amount is just crazy. I agree not to pu**** and I will be doing the shake in morning and probably late afternoon. I think I will be cutting all meat out completely right now. Try them again later down the road. David made a macaroni and cheese bake. That went down easy and did not feel sluggish or sickly. Thank You all for the advice I need all the help I can get lol.
Thank You

OK spoke with my doctor today. He told me do not push the foods. If I feel more comfortable with the puree, then stay with it. All is normal that I am going through. He is putting me on vitamin B-12 need to push the calcium and protein. Get those in first before all else. Does not expect me to do the full 40 just do what I can. Said if it feels uncomfortable to do not do it. Now in 6 months this should all be different. So I am now leaving all meat alone and eggs. Will stick with my protein and cereal and soup. Thank you all again for the great advice. He also stated the same thing to break my walks into two sessions.
Hoping you are feling better in no time at all! It will all improve with time. Just a lot to learn right now with your new tool. Some of us have an easiertime of it than others. I still have things that sit like cement, and I am almost 2 years out. Eggs.. sometimes they are fine, other times, ughhhhhhhh
