My WOW Moment

Last night I went to a friends birthday party. Most of my brothers & sisters were there. I was sitting in the livingroom talking to my older sister, then I realized that I had my legs crossed, mind you I have not been able to cross my legs in 3 years!!!!!! I was pointing to my legs & telling my sister LOOK,LOOK,LOOK!  She had this look on her face like yeah ok, then I proceeded to tell here why I was so excited. I know it seems like such a little thing but it was a big thing to me! Little things like that keep me moving in the right direction.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!
Thanks,
Synthia

I hear ya! I am almost 2 years ut from surgery and still find myself in awe sometimes when I realize how effortlessly I can cross my legs! lol. I used to have to grab the bottom of my pant leg to help "hoist " it up if I wanted to cross my leg, then had to hold it there...

Sooooo happy for you! Just one of those victories that many don't get unless they have been there. Even these seemingly little things are BIG victories! keep up the great work and congrats on your progress!

WTG Synthia! I STILL can't cross my legs! (Possibly because the fat distibution on my body favors my legs and arms). I can't wait until I can say the same.

Over 110 lbs lost!! (Finally!)

Too cool Synthia. These small moments mean all the difference to us. I catch my self in amazement when I can cross my legs too, even though I need to hold my pant leg yet to accomplish the leg cross. Hugs

That's wonderful!  It was a similar experience for me - I looked down, and I was totally amazed!  Unfortunately no one was around who I could share that with, but it sure does make you feel wonderful.

Keep up the great work!
